The Invasion could have been the biggest money-making, memory-creating angle in the HISTORY of professional wrestling...if it had only been booked correctly.

I still can't wrap my head around the Kane/Rey stuff from last year. Just...what happened there, exactly?

All of them; there's never been a good payoff to any angle. Yes Flair's farewell last year was horrible wasn't it.

That would probably be Eric Angle. I can't imagine he had a high salary.

Depends...
Did Karen get paid for her one-off appearance at Unforgiven 2001? If she did, I'd guess it was less than the $75,000 Kurt was on when he started.

Why all of the hate for the hand? It was ridiculous and memorable and makes me laugh til this day. What kind of payoff were you expecting an angle like that to deliver?

I'll throw out a new one: Kane's burlap bag. This and the entire feud that followed.

Kane's sack, The whole Chavo/Benoit feud where Benoit was made out to be a woman beater cause he pushed Vickie off the apron.

The Invasion could have been the biggest money-making, memory-creating angle in the HISTORY of professional wrestling...if it had only been booked correctly. No it couldn't. What everyone who says this forgets is once the WCW fans left, they never came back. And they left about a year before the WWF could even really do anything about it. Add to that the fact that the WWF's ratings were declining at a snail's pace at the same time and those fans never came back either, and this point becomes null.

King Of The Ring 95. Savio Vega given a monster push during the event only to be squashed by Mabel in the final event which lead to King Mabel and the ultimate pay off the worst Summerslam main event ever (and maybe WWF/E worst main event ever) King Mabel VS Diesel

Add to that the fact that the WWF's ratings were declining at a snail's pace at the same time and those fans never came back either, and this point becomes null. I do understand what you are stating but if booked right the fans would have came back. It was the dream feud for years WWF VS WCW who was the best of the two company's who were going head to head for years and rivals for years before. Ever since the early 80's these two companies had been rivals in some capacity and WW f***ed it up with there short sightedness and extremely poor booking and marketing. It was honestly so horribly botched and booked that the fans that had left (WCW and WWF) before the Invasion did not know the Invasion was happening due to how badly it was booked. There was no single big moment on Raw which stated WCW Invasion (outside Shane McMahon on Nitro). The appeal of the WCW big names going to WWF was not there due to the fact WWF was very impatient and could not wait to bo0tch this dream storyline and feud up. It was botched so horrible and booked so back wards that it took any appeal out of the angle right from the very start and when it did get going WCW was made to look very weak and it became a very one sided 'Invasion' and all about McMahon (and then ECW joined in) rather than WCW VS WWF the two biggest wrestling co0mpanies in the world before hand. If done right this one would have drawen massive amounts of money for WEE but McMahon was hell bent on completly burying WCW that money be3come the last thing on his mind and humiliation the first.
