I'd have to say the Invasion then the Ric Flair general manager stuff and having him lose that because Austin left and they wanted Flair to wrestle.
They should have sat on the WCW name waited and brought in the NWO and then have WCW save WWE.

That would probably be Eric Angle. I can't imagine he had a high salary. I entered this thread only looking for an Angle pun, and you, sir, did not disappoint.

Knock knock.
Who's there?
"Made in the USA" Lex Luger and the most jubilant countout victory in the history of wrestling.

Kane's sack, The whole Chavo/Benoit feud where Benoit was made out to be a woman beater cause he pushed Vickie off the apron. Yeah, Benoit would never hurt a woman ;D

What I loved about that match was that JR spent about 10 minutes building it up as a "slobberknocker." Even saying "You're not gonna see too many wristlocks and go-behinds in this one, folks." And then the frist two moves of the match were a wristlock and a go-behind.

I'll never forget as a 16 year old just getting back into wrestling that Vince being the Higher Power was a huge letdown. Me and all my friends didn't want to believe it, we all said, "It's going to be Vince, but...that seems too obvious." There was that uncertainty, but when we were right, there was disappointment.

It would be easier to list good payoffs.

It would be easier to list good payoffs. Sadly, this is true.

Exactly what is "May 19"? Kane was the star of See No Evil, a WWE Films horror flick that was set to be released on Friday, May 19th. In order to create a stronger awareness of the product, WWE ran an angle where Kane was haunted by the date May 19. His old music and red lights would come on in the arena. Then a Fake Kane (played by the man known now as Festus) would come out to the ring. He wore the full sleeves, the mask, and a long wig, such that he appeared to be the Original Kane. People were interested - what would be the payoff to this weird angle? And then they dropped it. Never mentioned again, never saw Fake Kane again. Dropped like it was hot.

Big Show and Big Bossman's feud. The match lasted like 90 seconds.

You should watch the PPVmatch they had and listen to the crowd's reaction. That was the reason why they dropped it.

The Jericho/legends story line if it ends up with someone who isnt Hogan, Austin or Rock.
I'm really not interested if he fights Lawler, or Mysterio, or Batista (I could see him coming out for Flair)

I still can't wrap my head around the Kane/Rey stuff from last year. Just...what happened there, exactly? It's like they gave up halfway through. It started off kinda promising I think the issue was that everyone was expecting it to be Kane having his old mask. That would have made sense. That would have worked. Especially with the whole "Is He Alive Or Is He Dead" thing. So they decided to swerve everyone by making it about Rey and his mask. Which was OK, it's certainly a swerve. Except it makes no sense. For weeks, we're to assume that Kane beat and mauled Rey so badly that he may have put him out of wrestling...except there's no mention of it on WWE TV. No reports, no concern. And then Rey comes back like he wasn't even badly hurt. That's evidence that they pulled it out of their behind at the last minute.

It featured ~Bad Acting ~Kane going crazy ~Bad Acting On the plus side, it had that great moment where Vince decided to punish Shawn by making him the ref in a Kane/Rob Conway match and having him wear a shirt covered with May 19th, only to have Shawn superkick Rob Conway and put the shirt on him, and have Kane maul him instead. Instant comedy.

I give Hornswoggle as McMahon's son a pass because Kennedy f***ed it up by getting suspended. Same with other angles that were f***ed up by outside forces (Ric Flair as GM, etc)
The Lex Express culminating in a countout win at Summerslam was terrible. If Lex won at Wrestlemania over Yoko, it wouldn't have been as bad, but Lex being billed as the next Hogan then not even winning the title killed it.
Here's one. The HHH/Steph divorce angle. Sure HHH pedigree'd Steph at Wrestlemania, but the angle ended......two weeks later on Raw when HHH beat Steph in a loser leaves WWE match. Bad finish to an angle that went from great (the ceremony with Steph faking the pregnancy was good) to bad (Undisputed Champion Jericho becoming Steph's lapdog) and ended horribly.
