WWE likes to cash in on any 'fad' they can and if getting one of their top stars with a gimmick to match that fad works. Whether it is bad or not is beyond the point for the WWE as long as It sells and sparks interest to bring more money into the company
Also for the above poster asking s*** hot= Excellent/very good. It's a slang British term used very often over here.

Not per se', it's just more popular the past fews years with the young folk.
