TNA still feels that they need to find a Latino/Hispainic. TNA had high hopes for Hector Garza and Apollo at one time. Garza was in position to go along way in the company but got deported for drugs. Apollo had personal issues such as legal problems and no showing. Shocker was the next star TNA was hoping would connect with fans but he wasn't appealing to the audience. Messia was a choose of Dutch Mantell but he was a AAA star.
Now TNA has returned to the drawing board. They have come up with a list of stars to choose from. The star topping the list is Mistico from CMLL but CMLL has made it clear TNA can't sign him. The next guy is Chicano from IWA but some feel his style wouldn't fit TNA. The other choice is a freelancer in Mexico named Turbo a great high flyer who has toured DG in Japan. The wrestler that Savio Vega has suggested is Ray Gonzalez. Gonzalez has been backstage at Impact lately and some believe he may get his chance soon. Gonzalez is known as ''Mr. Ratings'' in Puerto Rico and was slated to be Spainish Annoucer for TNA once. The deal was pulled from the table when Hector Guerrero signed with TNA. Gonzalez is considered to be the best wrestler in Puerto Rico for the last six years. Gonzalez speaks English and can work any style and has the look to go over as a face or heel.
Thunder and Lighting have been telling people that TNA offered them a deal. Thunder and Lighting have been called the LOD of Puerto Rico. Rico Suave have been seen at TNA shows posing as a fan. He was the fan beaten by Beer Money wearing the LAX shirt. Rico told LuchaLibreOnline that he is talks with TNA about joining LAX.

I don't think TNA wants to breakup LAX and Herandez seem like a guy to rally behind. He has that hardcore thug look I think TNA wants that ultra babyface worker.

Here's the thing, they could sign Mistico, but without the proper marketing/advertising, nobody would have a clue who he is.

One thing that holding Mistico back is he can't speak English at all. Also TNA don't want damage their relationship with CMLL. Thats the only reason they haven't signed Sarah Stock, Ultimo Guerrero begged CMLL to let work TNA for a year they said no. TNA is hoping by sending their stars to CMLL it will convince them to send more of their workers to TNA. One thing that makes Ray Gonzalez so appealing is that he's a master of ring psychology. His ability to work a crowd is amazing.

I agree that Hernandez should be pushed as a main eventer, but that would mean breaking up LAX. If they did that, then I think Homicide would eventually get lost in the mix.

Yeah, I said it. He's the John Cena of Mexico, he's not the best worker, but he knows how to get a crowd fired up and he has this weeeird charisma about him that even allows me, one of the most jaded wrestling fans on earth, to rally for him.

I agree that Hernandez should be pushed as a main eventer, but that would mean breaking up LAX. If they did that, then I think Homicide would eventually get lost in the mix. Nahh I bet Homicide would find sanctuary in the X Division easily. |

I think Cibernetico could bring alot of fans into TNA. He has alot charisma and he has the look that draw fans into the show. Moody Jack is in talks with TNA and he think Messias and Cibernetico could be huge in the US.

CMLL would never allow Mistico to go to TNA and neither would AAA with Ciber. Ray Gonzalez would be a very good hire for TNA as he's been the best wrestler on the Island for almost 10 years now. He's a little older though that that could hurt him. The real answer is Noriega. That guy is just awesome.

Noriega is a guy Savio Vega has tried to convince TNA to hire from Puerto Rico. TNA should try and sign Cibernetico from AAA I bet they'll get CMLL to chip in on the deal.

Laredo Kid! Just give him a new name. Although Turbo looks good on youtube and wouldn't step on anyone's feet. Mistico is overated and is really over because he's a Mysterio Jr biter and has a religious gimmick that really gets over in Mexico.
I wonder what about Chicano's style wouldn't fit? I do think Hernandez and Homicide are both better than him though.
How about Carlos Colon. He's only about 60 now.

According to PRNEWS Ray Gonzales will be the choice for TNA new Latin superstar. Ray is called Mr. Ratings in PR and has lived up to the name. He's on a number of shows in PR and Mexico. Rey is considered to be the best wrestler in PR he has wrestled in all types of matches and against major stars. WAPA reported on their sports section that Rey is in talks with TNA.
