Not sure where this belongs, so I put it here since he was on WWE TV last night. Does anyone remember this masterpiece that came on about 6 months after he was elected. All I remember is that is was supposed to be a biop, yet Jesse won the WCW belt from Bill Goldberg in the 1970s, and was involved in the Montreal Screwjob.

I actually have the honour of saying I've seen this on television. It was on one of the LOWER channels on Sky, and I had to watch it after hearing about it on the site. The best thing is how they got a Dr Phil looking guy with a girly voice to be the iron jawed tough guy Jesse.

It is truly atrocious, and one of the worst and cheesiest TV movies ever made. It was released at the height of the Monday Night Wars when anything with wrestling=money

Seeing a bootleg Gorilla Monsoon(who looked more like Gene Hart) holding a WCW mic and calling a Raven - Captain Nice match which ended up in a screwjob was even worse then stunt granny.

And I have the (dis)honour of saying I paid $15 for the DVD AFTER I had already watched this on t.v.

Well, don't you? Once WWF was run out of business, Eric had massive plans for rewritting Wrestling History.

Was it written by Hogan and Bischoff along with Jesse?

The quote at the end should read as follows: "Certain events in this drama based on fact are interpretive, certain characters are composites or have been fictionalized, and some names and locations have been changed."

This premiered the same night that Owen Hart passed away at Over the Edge. No lie, during the commercials they had the news promo stating that "pro wrestler dies on ppv event more after the movie". Needless to say it was a long night. Poor Owen

I actually remember watching some of this on NBC about a decade ago (Has it been that long?). Wondered why we saw WCW on there, Gorilla Monsoon with a beard, not to mention the bad part about the older Jesse being the narrator and just being there. Also, when someone mentioned Raven, I too, wondered that was all about. Don't get me wrong, I love Raven, but with the setting of the match, Raven's gimmick would be totally anachronistic. I don't think there were emo/goths/metalheads around during the 70s.
I should add this as well: The airing of this so-called biopic was on one of the most tragic days of wrestling. The same night when Owen Hart died.

It makes you wonder what person would find his real life story to be boring.
