Maybe a credible source would create more of a buzz. I don't like to use the N word but it sounds very much like conjecture.

I beleive that WWE have started planning this match, basically they have the no-brainier of an idea and Vince has to find a way to pitch it to Dwayne, that's when the problems start.

They said the same thing about WM25, then it changed to Hogan.

I'll believe it when I see it, this little tidbit of "news" means nothing right now as I'm sure WWE has wanted this for some time.

I strongly doubt this will happen to be honest. If he were to come back I'd much rather see Rock vs HBK

When Dwayne appears on Raw to accept a challenge, I'll believe it.

Am I insane to feel that Cena needs a match with The Rock to get over permently with his generation of wrestling fans? Love to hear from the more learned than myself.

Yeah...no.
Although there was originally going to be a Hogan/Cena match at WM. It was changed to Cena in the WHC match and Hogan/Jericho after Rourke dropped out, which was then changed to Jericho/Legends Gauntlet after Hogan had to undergo emergency hip surgery.

I would think they would have to pay Dwayne Johnson a ton of cash to not only appear as The Rock at WrestleMania, but actually wrestling in a match. I don't think putting over people is a problem for him as he agreed to do all those skits and the match with Hurricane and put over Goldberg and Brock. Still, I would think it would take a big paycheck to get him to do it.

No one would benefit from this. Rock has a career that pays better and doesn't put him at physical risk, and Cena would get booed in a match with him.

If they finally want to turn Cena heel, this would be the way to do it.

Here's my own crazy WM 26 rumor.
"C.M. Punk, who will be a full blown heel by this point, will dig up Eddie Guerrero. Punk will get Kane's magic powers to bring Zombie Eddie back to life. Punk will then cut promos on Eddie and the fans saying that if Eddie lived by the code of the 'X', then Eddie would still be alive today. Instead, he decided to be a slave to drugs and alcohol. Now your hero is nothing more than rotting flesh of liquor and pills.
C.M. Punk vs. Eddie Guerrero at Wrestlemania 26 and Eddie Guerrero will come to the ring in the old school Batmobile."

I wouldn't say no one could benefit. Dwayne Johnson is a big film star plus he could appeal to casual fans/former fans of the Attitude Era. It would probably feel like a lesser version of Rock/Hogan from 2002 and that had a huge feeling to it.

I wonder if a potential movie contract would even let him appear, I mean Disney didn't let Zach Braff rollerskate on his off days, lol.
That's assuming he'd have a contract at the time of course..

Yeah, no one except the millions of fans that would love it and the shit load of money the WWE would make. I would love this, and wish the WWE would just throw however much money Dwayne wants his way.
