If you could fire one commentator, booker, and one wrestler in TNA who would it be? And why?
Commentator: Don West. I have watched many TNA PPVs with ex-wrestling fans looking to watch again. Their #1 complaint everytime has been Don West. "Who is that guy yelling? Why does he repeat everything they do?" He hurts the TV and PPV product more than anything else TNA does.
Booker: I hate Vince Russo, but from what people behind the scenes have said, Dutch Mantel is responsible for alot of the gimmick trash and bad storylines going on. There is such an opportunity for a promotion it be huge, in the vacuum that is pro wrestling today. And TNA is just not compelling enough to break out. The MEM is a great idea, but badly booking their young talent for the last few years, and really not getting any young talent over, who emerges to fight them? A bumbling Abyss? Samoa Joe who got buried as a whiner? AJ who can't carry a promo?
Wrestler: KIp James. Beautiful People was such a hot property. Even before the Palin stuff completely buried them, Kip James really hurt their image. Sure he's funny. But what made them over was that they were evil bitches who were too good for you. Then they added a comedic gay assistant and they became a comic trio. It's frustrating.
But Ive been watching wrestling since 1987. What TNA does is no different then every wrestling promotion, and many companies in general. Idiots are in control, they hire their idiot friends, and they sit around having no idea what people really want. They have people give them great ideas, but in the end they "know best" because after all they are in charge.

Commentator - Jeremy Borash.....can't stand him. He's the Ryan Seascrest of wrestling.
Booker - Vince Russo. It's Vince Russo.....that IS my reason.
Wrestler - Jimmy Rave....for his own good. He was so much better on the indies.

Commentator - Mike Tenay. Don West makes me laugh, at least.
Booker - Dutch Mantel
Wrestler - Eh... None, honestly.

How did Kip James hurt Beautiful People? He made them hated by the Marks AND the Internet They were already drawing heat from the crowd until he joined them. All he's done is have a lot of that heat taken away from the girls and aimed at himself. They don't need him.

Commentary: Seconding Tenay. West is unintentionally funny.
Booker: Eh...can't think of one. Don't want to go by hearsay.
Wrestler: None.

Commentator: Don West. Guy's been calling commentary for 6 years now and he's still just an overly-excited, clueless putz. Mike Tenay's just playing a moron for a paycheque.
Booker: Jarrett. Why fire Jarrett, to take him out of control. And once you take Jarrett out of control, you eliminate anything keeping the rest of these morons on staff, and the rest of the dominoes fall with him. Opening up spots for people who actually know how to book a decent product. Hell, you could take Scott D'Amore and Jim Cornette and maybe even Mick Foley and you'd easily get some immediate improvement.
Wrestler: Wouldn't fire anyone really. The people they've got, by and large are talented and there's a lot of potential there, and with the right booking and the right people working with them, anybody on the roster right now could be very beneficial to the company in the long run I think. If I absolutely had to make a decision though, I'd say ODB. I just don't get what the appeal of that character is supposed to be. If she was a heel, maybe, but as far as I'm concerned, if there's one wrestler I can do without on my TV every week, it's ODB and her sleazy, slobbish skank gimmick.

Commentary: Borash. I can deal with Don West, he's as much a part of TNA's 'image' as JR is to WWE.
Booker: Agree on Jarrett. Once you get rid of him, you get rid of his cronies.
Wrestler: ODB as well. I can't stand her.

Commentary: I hate to say Don West, because from what i understand he recently got fired from his other job and i do think he has tried extremeley hard to get better on commentart. Id say he has come a long way since suggesting that somebody be disqualified for breaking up a count in a tag team match. Still, if somebody had to go, it would be West.
Booker: Vince Russo
Wrestler: Suicide, and hire back Kaz.

Commentator: Don West. Tenay can be alright if he has someone good to play off of. DW is not that person.
Booker: Dunno. The booking's been alright recently, so I'm not to venemous towards anyone behind the curtain.
Wrestler: KIP JAMES! My vendetta against Kip James knows no bounds. He hardly ever wrestles anymore, the Beautiful People don't need him, and even if he did wrestle regularly, he's not that good anymore, so why do we need him?

commentator: Don West I guess. I don't really dislike either one.
booker: Dutch Mantell, but that's of course based only on conjecture, like every else's picks.
wrestler: Taylor Wilde. Cute Kip is playing his role perfectly, I can't see why he should go. Wilde is generic and not entertaining at all.

Commentator: Eh, the commentator's are all terrible. Just get rid of one and put Mick Foley there without Vince McMahon yelling in his ear to say things Vince wants him to say. I do have to say when Don West said "OMG MIKE TENAY THIS IS HAPPENING" (that's obviously a paraphrase) I was like ... "did he just say Mike Tenay's entire name during COMMENTARY when we all know that Mike would be Mike Tenay?" - Maybe I got that backwards though, and it was Mike Tenay saying Don West, but... either way, whichever one does that should go.
Booker: Dutch Mantell, as he seems to just have horrible ideas. Vince Russo, isn't THAT bad. And I think he actually has listened to some people, and possibly tried to change how he does things. Remember in WCW, they put in place the "rule" that there would be NO RUN-INS and enforced it with fines and stuff (kayfabe, obviously) and he actually stopped using run-ins for a while? Then they did ONE run-in and the place erupted. TNA is slowly moving back away from run-ins, so this could be a good influence from Russo... maybe. Secondly, if we get rid of Mantell, and it gets worse, then Russo goes too, so we win twice!
Wrestler: Like, 3/4 of the Knockouts, or maybe AJ Styles, if only so I can see them on WWE programming. None of the wrestlers do their job horribly. Velvet Sky in the WWE could only do good things, especially if they made her "Mighty Molly v2.0" with Hurricane Helms, using Real Life to their advantage. Or Cheerleader Melissa not covered up in loose clothing and a burqa. Or Awesome Kong against Beth Phoenix, I think EVERY wrestling fan wants to see that feud - there's nobody in TNA to stand against Kong believably. AJ Styles would be excellent in the midcard building up to main event status and feuding with the likes of Edge, Jeff Hardy (which he probably already did), Matt Hardy (semi main event, right?), CM Punk, Jericho, etc... his mic skills might actually improve too.

Commentator - Can I cheat here and just say yes? I mean having to to pick between a colonoscopy with no sedation and having to listen to Tenay and West butcher the show, where do I sign up for the big pipe up my Kip James?
Booker - Have to agree with the Mantel people, but honestly, just based on the speculation.
Wrestler - This may be a little unpopular, but I think Sting has to go. Yes, he still gets a pop, but his time has passed.

Comments about bookers are generally pointless and ill-informed. None of us knows who is responsible for what we see.

My intention being to make TNA better, not to pad WWE. WWE prefers making models into wrestlers. They already have their AJ Styles character in Matt Sydal.

Honestly, I haven't watched enough TNA to be well informed enough to give a good answer. However, if you want me to pick one wrestler that I think is horrible on their own (and not because of bad writing, bad booking, etc)... I really can't, from what I've seen. Nobody looks like they botch all the time, nobody is HORRIBLE on the mic (tho plenty are barely above it.. can't single any one person out for it)... I guess Jeff Jarrett, honestly, because I just want to change the channel when he's on. Then again - if he was working against someone I wanted to watch more of, I'd be cheering for the other guy just to see him get his ass beat. I just can't stand "face" Jeff Jarrett I guess, especially when his most likely opponents are people I don't care about anymore. Steiner, Nash, Sting, Angle, Booker... I've seen them do everything already. Out of all of them, ONLY Angle interests me, and that's more for his insanity than his wrestling (and his wrestling is outstanding). <shrugs> I dunno. I don't really hate the performers in TNA, it's more the behind the scenes stuff.

I'd only fire one person: Dixie Carter.
Replace her with someone who's got a damn clue, and the rest of the people who should be fired ... would be.
