A whole lotta Wrestlecrap in that ring but I still love it. You have face announcer Vince doing commmentary for a lot of his crappy gimmicks all at once. Beautiful !

This was actually one of the matches that got me hooked on wrestling believe it or not.
One of the more entertaining battle royals I must say. More than just your standard punches and kicks and guys waiting for their spots to go out of today.

I thought that was a great battle royal for WWE at the time

Snuka's involvement never made any sense (he'd been gone from the company for over a year at that point) but I didn't care. It was cool.

-Classic Martel doing jumping jacks -'How dare you Bobby Heenan?!" -"Adam Bomb is from Three Mile Island. It's like Canada." -LOLs at the original MVP. Lasted longer than Mr Perfect....

I know I have that episode on tape somewhere... It's one of the few that's managed to survive from that era... That's actually one of my favorite battle royals. It wasn't super short like alot of them are, there was solid action, a good finish, and Bobby Heenan's ever entertaining color commentary.

I loved that battle royal and I loved the spotlight that Martel got from co-winning it, and the subsequent title match with Razor. I think that was the highlight of Martel's WWF singles career.

Does anyone know the reason why they wanted to put the title on Ramon so fast? Does anyone know why Michaels was suspended and stripped of the title?
Why didn't they just have a tornament for the vacent title? It seemed they wanted to put the title on Razer as fast as possible, and didn't want to have a prolong tournament for the title.

Martel always delivers, even if he's only there to put over someone else.
I liked a lot of guys in this. Razor, IRS, Jannetty, Perfect, Snuka, Bomb, The Quebecers, Owen. Gimmicks aside some of these guys could have been big for the WWF at the time.

Does anyone know the reason why they wanted to put the title on Ramon so fast? Does anyone know why Michaels was suspended and stripped of the title? From Shawn Michael's shoot interview I gathered this: HBK was suspended for testing positive for roids so Vince told him he could either be suspended for 6 weeks or he could drop the belt or something along those lines. Michaels told Vince he would rather take the 6 weeks off because he claims he wasn't on roids and that someone must of slipped something in his drink. So he took the IC belt with him which resulted in that epic ladder match at Wrestlemania due to the fact that both Razor and HBK had the belt at the same time.

I remember watching that and wanting Hart of Hennig to win.
