Thanks for correcting me on that, lol. I knew it was something similar, been a long time since i've seen that shoot. All I remember was Raven simulating the selling of the gut shot teaching Goldberg how to sell it. Didn't Raven also say in that same shoot that people come up to him and tell him that was the best match Goldberg ever had? Or did Raven himself say that in his opinion it was the best match Goldberg ever had? I don't remember...but i'm gonna pull the shoot out and watch it again later. I seem to recall him saying he thought it was the second best match Goldberg ever had, the best being the match with Page. I know his match with Rhyno at Backlash like 7 years ago or something he did say he thought was the best hardcore match ever. DDP match was his best but that was because he had PAGE Carry him and RAVEN Carry him. When Goldberg leads a match it's hit me a few times i counter a irish whip to a spear i finish you we both make $10,000 "(goldberg says to himself secretly $25,000 Sucka) and we go have a few beers. Hugh Moris and Ming always agreed!

The crowd still marked like crazy for it and I didn't see anyone in attendance complaining that it wasn't a 30 minute chain-wrestling fest.

I loved this match. I remember watching a Raven Shoot Interview where he said he remembers going over the spots with Goldberg, and said he was gonna hit him in the gut with a baking sheet or something, and said to Goldberg "But you've really gotta sell it, double over like you're about to throw up", and Goldberg said "But I wouldn't sell it in a real fight", and Raven said he threw his hands up because he couldn't get through to the guy. I remember hearing about this sort of thing with Goldberg when he was in the WWE. He never seemed to understand that he's NOT IN A REAL FIGHT!

People hated on WCW, hated on Goldberg. But you watch something like this, and can't help but yearn for better days. I was the hugest Raven mark at the time, and didn't care for Goldberg at all, but man I popped for this match.
The loudest ovation I've ever heard live was for Goldberg in Meadowlands in 1998. Only one close was Austin in MSG in 97. Not as loud as I personally popped for Jake Roberts as Nassau Collesium in 89, but him vs Bad News Brown was just SOOOOOOOOO good.

I would be bothered more by Goldberg, but he's a good man, I think, with such things as his charity work.
