On 24/7 started today the card
1. (WWF I-C Championship) Razor Ramon vs Jeff Jarrett 2. Undertaker vs IRS 3. (WWF Championship) Diesel vs Bret Hart 4. (WWF Tag Championship) Bam Bam Bigalow & Tatanka vs 1-2-3 Kid & Bob Holly 5. Royal Rumble
Only thing that I can find wrong with the event is that the Rumble is too short

I think that was one of the better PPV's from 95. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they bring in Pamela Anderson for this PPV?

Great undercard, and one of the better Diesel/Bret matches, even though it was marred by about a billion run-ins. The Rumble kinda sucked, though.

Yeah, the actual Rumble match was WAY to short. That was the year they experimented with like 30 seconds between entrants.
Not only that, but like 75% of the field was tag teams, many of them jobber tag teams like Well Dunn and the Heavenly Bodies.
I'm still unimpressed by Shawn Michaels' coast to coast victory, since his ring time was just a little over 30 minutes.

It wasnt the best of PPV's all it did was set up LT/Bam Bam and Diesel/HBK almost by default. The World Title match was marred by run-ins. Razor/Jarrett had better matches on RAW and The Rumble itself was cheapened by the shorter intervals

The WWF was at its lowest point ever with talent that year. It's almost as if they wanted to just hurry up and get the rumble over with and with the 1 minute intervals...you might as well have made it a 30 man battle royal

Definitely. Just dont see the justification in the Rumble Changes. This was just a vehicle for the Celebs, in LT and Pammi for their appearances at Wrestlemania.

I remember just before the Bigalow and LT (the real LT by the way, that punk player on the Chargers is a pretender but I digrise) incident, I thought that they started a Bam Bam face turn. His teammates abanden him, obvious face turn. Similar to the first Wrestlemania.

Wasn't this the first Rumble where they brought in legends/alumni to participate? I would've been so happy to see Diesel vs Dick Murdoch headlining Wrestlemania....

The problem was their talent pool wasn't very deep and if this thing went 60 minutes fans may have revolted.

The matches were fine, but the Rumble was just so poor.
I find myself usually fast forwarding through it whenever I watch it as it's not like exactly a drama-filled Rumble when you have such luminaries as Jacob & Eli Blu or Mantaur participating in it.

I hated the one-minute intervals. Hell, I despised them. But let's be honest here; would it have been wrong for anyone before 1995 to wonder "What if we only had one-minute intervals?" They experimented and it was a failure. It happens. Lesson learned.
