i just pointed out Foley said it wasn't the smartest thing in the world to do, and your response to that is to say that it was "incredibly stupid and idiotic". can i say David Sammartino was a crappy wrestler or would you once again point out he agrees to that? It was incredibly stupid and idiotic to do that, no question about it. Also you forgot the part where I wrote "At least he admitted it", but thanks anyways. And he was a crappy wrestler and he would agree to that if you were to say that. I just don't see why David can't say that without reprisal. What's the difference if he said it or someone else who was more successful? It was still a very idiotic move. because David said it like he was a hell of a lot better wrestler than Foley. fact is Mick Foley was a bigger draw than David Sammartino, Mick Foley was a better talker than David Sammartino, Mick Foley was more charismatic that David Sammartino, Mick Foley had better and more interesting matches than David Sammartino, and Mick Foley got to where he was on his own instead of being the son of a former professional wrestler.

I'm glad I told everyone to stop with the bickering a page ago. I could just lock it and all.

Didn't sound that way at all to me, he just said what he thought. I agree with all of what you said, not disputing it one bit, but still doesn't mean that David can't say what he thought about Foley. It's not like he has to be a main eventer to say what he thought of Foley's HIAC incident.

There are impressionable kids across America jumping through tables who can't draw 10 people to a high school gymnasium, much less headline a WWE pay per view.
David Sammartino said somewhere else in this shoot that he never retired from wrestling, he just couldn't get booked. The Iron Sheik was built into a big star so he could job to Hulk Hogan, and he's made a nice career out of that. Either of these guys complaining that a promoter's push made someone else's career reeks of hypocrisy.
Mick's road to the top may not be one to duplicate, but he's a great worker. HHH, Edge, and Randy Orton all owe him huge thanks for what he did for their careers.

There's a hell of a lot more to working a match than doing some mat stuff.
Mick is a great worker, in that his matches did everything they were supposed to do, and he didn't put his opponent's health on the line for the sake of getting over.
Like Austin, he brawled mostly, but like Austin, it was far from the only thing he knew how to do. Like he said, brawling payed the bills, while the fancy stuff kept him in a car eating peanut butter sandwiches.

I was in the audience at the Country Club for that taping, sitting right behind Herb Abrams and Bruno. My friend and I were cheering for Cactus Jack, and I think we annoyed the annoucers, but we didn't care. Sammartino was so freakin' vanilla, there was no way to get behind him.

Damn, talk about expressing your opinion. The worst part about his opinions are that they will fireback on him like a Wile E. Coyote with ACME Dynamites. Plus Mick Foley not being a great worker is like saying Vince McMahon is not the most successful promoter ever.
