I'm just curious about how much of that crowd really watch that much TNA each week, and were just there to see guys from the Crockett/WCW era, given the historical place Charlotte holds for those promotions. It just seemed like the only major pops/heat was for guys from that period apart from when Shelley, Sabin, and AJ did high spots that would get anyone to react. Not saying there weren't any big TNA fans there, it just didn't sound like the majority.

Well, i think TNA sacrificed the main events for the mid card tonight. They should have scraped the world title match completley and just had Sting fill in for Nash. I don't think the fans got their money's worth with Sting who only wrestled a crap match for 5 minutes. As for Kip. Not a big deal, can't blame TNA on this one, just plain bad luck for Genesis with injuries with Christy Hemme and Kevin Nash. Kip is simply the only veteran in that locker room that has any sort of credentials. If the MEM wanted the Dudleyz, i don't think Kip filling in on short notice for one night is a big deal. Fair? yes. Angle/Jarrett was a great match. Probably the most entertaining match JJ has ever been a part of. The match was very hardcore without going to over the top, which was good. Sabin/Shelley was superb. I liked how they slowly built it up and than it became fast paced like a classic X-Division match. I actually liked the ending. I think it fits Shelley's character and after they kicked out of each others finishes, i saw a cheap heel tactic coming. Well done. Sewell and Bashir was pretty solid. Better than i thought. 3 way tag was pretty good as well, glad Beer Money got the gold back. Knockouts was tolerable. Probably better than the Kong/Hemme match would have been. Sting/Rhino was bad. I actually expected more out of even this match. main event didnt do anything for me. Mick was just bad. They lost Nash. The only part that was cool was the spot AJ did. overall, good show. Pretty much agreed, but I think the 3 way tag suffered from "Stupid Abyss Syndrome". I'm really, REALLY tired of cartoony, "can't no nuffin right" Abyss. Yeah. That bothered me as well. I thought Morgan had a pretty good spot and Beer Money made me laugh. Lethal had some good stuff as well. I was certain that Morgan would put the beat down on Abyss aftert he match knocking the "cartoon" out of him and setting up a blood feud. Didnt happen though. Maybe this THURSDAY NIGHT ON IMPACT! I forgot to mention the opening match with Eric Young, and LAX vs. Jimmy Rave, Sonjay Dutt and Kiyoshi was a kick ass match as well. I think Hernandez squashing Rave, Dutt and Kiyoshi was excellent booking for Super Mex and his world title push. This show would have been GREAT had he cashed in on Sting after the 5 minute match with Rhino and destroyed him for the title.

Just got back from watching it. Quite a good show IMHO. The crowd were a bit smarkish with Jarrett, and did not give a stuff about the women, but other than that it was a good three hours. I was really scared they would pull something stupid with the World Title Match and have someone debut against Sting, but thankfully that didn't happen.

They were quiet for the beggining of the match, but were also very respectful and gave applause for the reversals of holds, etc. It got pretty hot when the match sped up. If anything, i think Charlotte is mostly dissapointed with Sting tonight. Id say Cute Kip contributed more to the show than him.

Lets make sure to keep Nash in our praers he could lose his arm if the virus reach his bone. From my understanding its real bad and its poisoning his system.

At least they popped for Sting. They didn't give a stuff about Rhino or Foley.

I went back to read the reactions to Cute Kip, and while they were bad, they weren't as negative as I imagined.

Really, is Cute Kip much of a step down in-ring from Nash? He was cannon fodder, no more.

Well maybe since Sting only worked 8 mins he could have been in the match. This why TNA will never be a big time promotion. They have old guys that get hurt and then replace them with Cute Kip.

Yes, only old guys get staph infections. And, it didnt matter at all who the fill in was. He won't be in the MEM on thursday and the match was all about Foley anyway. Who sucked worse than Cute Kip did.

For what it's worth, I am willing to bet Nash wouldn't have taken that table bump.

Also would rather seen Cute Kip in the match or Sting.? Would you rather see Foley fight Kip in the match or face off against Sting? Come on. Sting was an easy choice and TNA missed it big time.

I said earlier in the thread they should have scrapped the world title match because they had Rhino practically written off all night untill the last second and it did nothing to get him over and that match was still the worst of the night. Sting was OVER with the crowd tonight, you think it's logical that they didnt want the Charlotte crowd who go WAY back with Sting getting all the babyface pops for the heel stable on Mick Foley's BIG return to the ring? They were fairly mild with Foley. So im sure Sting crossed their mind. I agree it would save a lot of criticism, but at the end of the day, they had nothing. The main event SHOULD have been Angle and Jarrett once they found out Nash wasent going to be able to go. Even with Nash they should have known that Angle and Jarrett was their biggest match tonight...it would have closed out the show with a bang instead of "yeah, the midcard was great"

If Sting was in the match the heels would have been cheered. This way they got a wee bit of heat. On top of that they are starting Sting's turn back babyface, as seen when Sting spoke out about his teammates actions.

By the way, to summarize Rhino's day...
In the middle of the night, let's say 4:00 am, everyone in the MEM, except Sting, met up with Rhino in his hotel room. Rhino sleeps in a grey TNA T-shirt and his wrestling gear, for arguments sake. Rhino was forced into their limo and during the limo ride was made an offer that he couldn't refuse, but did.
He was then taken to an abandoned lot in Charlotte where the MEM beat the snot out of him and left him bloody. Kurt Angle also gave him money for a taxi.
Generously, this would leave Rhino in an abandoned lot at 6:00 am. It took him 16 hours to get up and take a taxi to the arena, where he arrived, still bleeding, just in time to lose his World Title match.
It's a good thing my brother and I didn't take a road trip to see the ppv. We may just be getting to the arena now.
