You know...I've been here for a while now, and I have to say that this is one of the best boards that I have ever come across. It is peopled by genuine, kind, and caring individuals, many of whom have come to be my friends, and many of whom I would gladly hang out with in real life, if we were ever fortunate enough to meet.
But lately, something has been happening here, and it's not good, in any way, shape or form. There are a few folks, a small group really, who are running rampant on the WWE Current section, and who have begun to spread their poison to other parts of the board. They're ruining what was once a great place to get away from it all, like the group of boorish jerks who invade your favorite bar and ruin the atmopshere with their loud, vulgar conversations and ass backwards rhetoric. I know I'm not the only one to notice it, as there was an entire thread devoted to how people are shying away from the WWE Current section in favor of refuge in Off Topic....but I cannot stand this any longer.
I had a blowup in the Ask A Mod section that I wholly apologize for. I called for someone to be gone, and that was wrong of me. I shouldn't have said what I did, and I do regret the way I said it...but I do not regret reporting his post, which WAS a violation of the Board Rules.
That being said....I'm thinking I should leave for a while. It's just not a NICE place to post anymore.
But I don't post this for any other reason than as a heads up to the few friends and well wishers that I do have here. I don't want a pity party, I just want you all to know why I'm not around anymore, and that I'm not ignoring you or whatever.
I thank you for all the kindness and compassion you've shown over the years, and for all the good times we've had.
Goodbye, for now.

Damn. We may not have had very much interaction as far as some people have, but I have to say I'll genuinely miss having one of the best well-spoken individuals on the boards. Your posts are one of a handful I make sure to take the time and read, as you actually have some incredibly well-crafted things to say. I hope you still pop on sometimes, but if not, well.... fare well.

Another thing: An internet board is just that- a board, not a sweeping referendum on society.
I don't know how you feel about "laws of attraction", but forums are only as dramatic and as serious as you allow them to be. Posting either light-hearted or tense will get you, respectively, light-hearted or tense responses. If I think a thread is going south- or it's not a topic I'm not comfortable discussing, I don't harp on it.
But if you feel you need to take a breather, that's fine. Hope to see you soon.

I understand what you mean man. The boards in general have changed from what they were just a few years ago.
Still, I understand your decision to go for now. It'll suck not having you around, because you were among some of the best posters here IMO. I know we never really interacted much, but this still sucks.

Seriously though some of you guys crack me up with your internet drama. I honestly can't fathom getting so upset over a message board built around wrestling. Unless of course it involved the posting of private information in which case I could see legal action being taken.

I have a genuine overall dislike of people and whenever I see someone doing or saying one of my many, many pet peeves i can't just say "it's not that big a deal...don't worry about it.." I'm trying to do better...but I can't seem to let people who irritate me go without knowing it..I'm the same way in real life. I'm pretty much the quiet guy in the corner of the room who will only speak when someone irritates them enough to be a smartass. |

I'll miss ya around here, Rorschach. You're one of the people that ended up influencing me to pick up Watchmen last year, which I'm totally grateful for. I tend to enjoy reading your posts, so yeah.
