In honor of the 80's rock legend Mike Reno from Loverboy joining us on WrestleCrap Radio this week, I felt a tribute thread to Mike and his red leather pants was appropriate. Here's two classic Loverboy vids, including one me and RD did commentary on...
Working For The Weekend...
And our favorite, Hot Girls In Love (with commentary)...

I have always felt that this is an underrated song. Oh hell yeah. Keep in mind, that song came into the Top 40 in 1980, when disco and Kenny Loggins crap still had a say in what was popular. Not gonna say that Loverboy was "metal," but their stuff rocked hard and kicked ass, and definitely had more of an edge than Journey or Foreigner, in regards to popular hard rock bands of the early 80's.

Its heavier then 'When its over'.
But even that is not like what was around.

I recently saw LoverBoy perform live in a nightclub and was able to be close to the stage and I'll tell you that Mike Reno is the real deal when it copmes to singing. He's much older now than when his band had chart-topping success but he was still pretty much hitting the same high notes without using any fancy technology microphone gadgets that I could see around. A true talent and I'm happy he's still doing his thing.
