I was clearing out a bunch of old muscle-mags today, and while flipping through a few of them I came across an article that made me remember the WBF. The article mentioned rumors a while back of a group of Asian entrepreneurs considering the idea of starting a new global bodybuilding league, and mentioned the last time this had been tried was when our own Vince McMahon tried to launch the WBF.
Has RD ever done an induction on this ill fated venture? I remembered the WWF of my childhood hyping the WBF and a show called Bodystars to no end, and not caring one way or another. But I looked up some online articles about it and it sounds just like the disaster Vince made with the XFL. Tried to launch a major bodybuilding league, thew money around like crazy, picked up a bunch of nobody bodybuilders who no fans cared about, tried to make it too much like pro wrestling, and ended up losing his shirt on it. I especially love how apparently he tried to get into bodybuilding-a sport notorious for juicers-at the same time he was being investigated for roids in the WWF.
Sounds induction worthy to me.

The induction had a very weird game of Tug-Or-War between those from borth organizations.

Didnt the Bodystars show have some hot chick named Cameo? Surprised Vince didnt bring her in as a valet once the WBF folded.

Actually it was inducted twice. The WWE/WBF Tug Of War and the organization itself.

I wrote on the Tug O' War and also included a few clips from the 1992 WBF PPV where all the guys had dumb gimmicks and looked like s*** because they were told late in the game they had to cycle down from the steroids because Vince's feet were being held to the fire.

They may have been dumb gimmicks but at least Vince was trying to do something creative back then unlike today's current WWE where he just mails it in.

I still don't see why we were supposed to care
Ooohhh it's some really strong looking guys, and they're POSING!
Unless you're a woman (or 25% of the male population) I really don't see what's supposed to be all that entertaining

Just hearing Vince swoon and squeal over Strydom makes you wonder.
