I thought that the original was a pretty decent film and I don't see why it get's crapped all over. It's not supposed to be taken serious it's a light hearted wrestling movie. Like wrestling it's self it's not supposed to be taken serious and the movie more pokes fun at the 'smarks' who treat wrestling way to serious and treat it like a legit sport and as if it's not planned and cheographed.
On the other hand no I wouldn't go and see a remake by WWE as the would more than likely make a mess of it just like they have with all there other movies up until now.

Ready to Rumble is one of the worst movies I've ever seen and it's an embarrassment to wrestling fans.

No. The script sucked the first time and it would suck if remade.

Gordy and James Caan's son are big fans of Jerry the King Lawler and are disenfranchised when Vince McMahon screws him out of the WWE championship in favor of Randy Orton. They embark on a mission to find the King and give him back his honor and his belt. Triple H was his partner and Lawler threw up on him years ago. Gordy and friend are in a convenience store and in a day dream John Cena beats him up. The finale is in an Elimination Chamber match and the other competitors, Sheamus, Batista, CM Punk and Big Show. It starts with Lawler and Orton when all the others break out and gang up on Lawler, Legacy, Miz and Jack Swagger open a trap door and help. Suddenly, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kofi Kingston, MVP, Vladimir Koslov, and Santino arrive but can't get inside till Gordy, riding a big monster truck crashes in and opens it up.
The odds are evened up and Lawler and Orton fight, Lawler gets the upper hand and sets up a piledriver when Vince with a chair appears. But then Undertaker sucks him down into the ring. Gordy and James Caan's son say he's the Undertaker and Undertaker punches them. Lawler hits the piledriver and wins the WWE championship. It ends with Triple H throwing the convenience store guy through the door and him says he's a bitch. Then they drive off in a monster truck.

I'd probably see it in the theater, especially if....
-we get a scene with Ezekiel Jackson/Vladmir Kozlov/some other "Big guy" crying for getting beat up by some long-retired Hall of Famer
-HHH gets in a fight backstage that leads to him running around with a toilet seat around his neck
-Gregory Helms get his job back at WWE by pulling double duty as a wrestler and a stunt double in the movie.

Remake, no. I'm sick of remakes. A sequel---maybe.
