Okay, as many of you know, Final Fantasy (NES) was released for the Wii this past week, making it the first game released by Square Enix that people care about. (Secret of Mana does not count) However, whereas most classic games bring up fond memories, FF brings up memories of getting killed in the swamp cave, and meeting people in caves who had one useful act to do 5 hours from now. Not to mention the airship that doesn't land anywhere useful. What was it with that game? So, who's getting it?

I've never played Final Fantasy, I've never played any games in the Final Fantasy series, I have no interest in playing any games in the Final Fantasy series, and the only time I've ever been interested in the Final Fantasy series is when I watched Spoony's review of Final Fantasy VIII.

I've got it for NES, GBA, and PS1, so I doubt I get it for VC.

I'll be getting it because my PS1 copy doesn't seem to work anymore.

My feelings are actually 100% opposite yours, except for Spoony's review of FFVIII, it was funny even though I love that game. Nonetheless I won't be buying FF on the VC. I don't have a Wii, and even if I did, I have a couple other copies of the game.

I refuse to vote because I do care that Secret of Mana is on VC so Secret of Mana is second only to The Legend of Zelda III; A Link To The Past as the greatest adventure game of the fourth generation. I own the game, and have since 1996, and aside from leveling up magic and weapons, I think it's perfect. However, it's one of the like five games Square has begrudingly released for the VC, and it appears to be a game they see no commercial worth in, like Actraiser, which is also awesome btw, even if the ending sucked.

I hated the NES version of Final Fantasy, and I don't have internet on my Wii, so no.

The only Final Fantasy games I've played are VII, VIII, and IX for the PSX and even those I didn't play long enough to get very far. I tried to like these games, I really did, but I'm just not particularly fond of the RPG genre as a whole. So no, I have no interest in going back to play any earlier iterations of this series.

I still have my old NES copy and the Redux Playstation one.
I think it was more or less a Dragon Warrior sequel that got mucho coverage from Nintendo Power and gave RPG fans over here in the states anyway since the Dragon Warrior games at the time were more elusive. It's not a bad game and after the Swamp cave gets better since by that point you're starting to get gold easiar and your levels are up and you have some magic that can group attack enemies.
