How about just hooking up an XBox 360 on the sidelines, with Madden and have every play be an Ask Madden play? There's a good chance it would be better than the play calling the Redskins have right now. Oh god, next week's Monday nighter will be brutal. The Skins are terrible, but the Eagles looked just as awful today and have played like garbage against the Skins the last couple of years. It might give the Bills/Jets a run for its money.

I know I'm late on this but: 1- The Eagles losing to the Raiders? REALLY Now if they (Oakland) can play like that every games.... 2- Last week, the Raiders put out one of the worst performance I've ever seen but the Titans got EXTREMELY HUMILIATED by the Patriots. 59-0 Is this the same team that started 10-0 last season?

According to Jets beat writer Rod Boone, some in the team's locker room are "talking" like NT Kris Jenkins' season could be over.
Seahawks MLB Lofa Tatupu will miss the remainder of 2009 with a torn pectoral muscle.

According to the Associated Press, Eagles LT Jason Peters' knee injury is "thought to be worse" than the mere sprain coach Andy Reid called it.

Maybe he should have been resting rather than standing on the sideline. Our O-line is looking awful right now. The Andrews sisters can't be bothered to earn their paychecks. We're looking at Winston Justice and King Dunlap as our starting tackles. That's only slightly worse than putting a dummy out. Actually, a dummy might actually slow someone down.

Zorn will be fired after Monday night or going into the bye week, you can count on that one. The Redskins will be looking for a head coach this offseason.

Bears have inches to go to get a first down and get a peach of a shot to tie the game on a fourth down after somehow recovering the fifteen yards' worth of penalties they won themselves over two plays, with seconds to go...and they kill themselves with a blatant false start that puts them out of range, and botch the pass. Not a good night to be named "Orlando Pace."
But wow, hell of a game.

Not a good night to be named "Orlando Pace." But wow, hell of a game. For all the mistakes the Bears made, I came away rather unimpressed with Atlanta. Chicago couldn't run, fumbled twice on the goal line, had a QB who was missing lots of throws behind and beyond his receivers, has an O-line that is rather poor, was missing a top special teams guy (The Other Adrian Peterson), started its fifth different LB trio in as many games, lost Tinoisamoa again in the 3rd, has only one dependable corner and a group of young safeties...and Chicago was a few brain farts away from winning that game. Atlanta should have been able to execute better and make the plays they need to play. But my overall feeling is that both teams are heading in the right direction. There is just this weird difference between the teams' Best Players and their Most Important Players. Chicago's "Best" guys are Briggs, Ogunleye, Kreutz, Tillman, RG Garza...veterans who aren't necessarily getting any better. Chicago's "Important" guys are Cutler, Hester, Knox, Olsen, Roach...younger players who have shown real flashes of brilliance but have to make the leap for the team to be a top-echelon contender. Same thing for Atlanta. Tony Gonzalez and John Abraham are those best guys, while Ryan and White and Babineaux are the important ones. So both teams might see their young guys make some strides, only to see the older ones take a step back or stay stationary (Tony's still great, but not what he was in his prime). And they end up being 7-9 - 10-6 teams until the dust settles. And the one thing the Bears have worse is the loss of Urlacher. There's no way to see where the Bears actually are without him on the field; and it's not like this is a big career-altering injury, just one he can't play with.

Very entertaining Sunday Night game. Both teams should be contending for a wildcard spot in the last weeks.
On a somewhat odd note, anybody who watched the PHI/OAK game notice the pigeon? I've only seen it it in some clips but a pigeon "helped" the Raiders in kickoff coverage and was present on the field at other moments, even in the last snaps during the kneel downs. Just find it quite funny if not a sign from the football gods ;D
With that 40 time, expect Al to offer it a contract.

He's half-Samoan, like The Rock. and this is from CBSSports.com: So that answers the burning question: it is better to be 0-2 with a pick than to be 2-12 with a pick and -7 yards. Congratulations, Kerry Collins. Derek Anderson and JaMarcus Russell will be sending you a lovely gift basket for Christmas.

I noticed that pigeon as well, before they started showing it on the camera and talking about it.

At the rate things are going at Washington, I could see Antwaan Randle-El pulling coach Zorn aside and reminding him that he, not Jason Campbell or Todd Collins, has the NCAA record for most yards overall yards gained. Not only that, but I could see Zorn seriously considering giving him a lot of reps in practice...just in case.

Tom Brady and Maurice Jones-Drew were on my fantasy lineup....9 touchdowns between them. If I don't win this week I riot.

Wow, what a game yesterday at the Metrodome. I'm just happy I can say the Vikes are 6-0. The way they played the first quarter (and well really the first half) showed that they CAN be a team to look out for later down the season. There are 4 quarters to a football game though, and the Vikes have decided all seaon to not play all of them. In one way they deserved to win that game, but in another they deserved to lose it.
a win is a win....I'll take it. It's nice I can say that my team is 6-0, but they do have some things they need to work on for sure.
