A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that Chiefs coach Todd Haley lit into Dwayne Bowe early in Sunday's win over the Redskins, even threatening to trade him.
Falcons coach Mike Smith confirmed that LCB Brian Williams tore his ACL in Sunday's win. He'll be placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

The NFL's trade deadline is consistently the weakest in the world of professional sports. Over the past decade, who are the biggest names dealt? Chris Chambers in 2007? Anthony MacFarland in 2006?
I think the problem with the NFL's deadline is that it's too early in the season for teams to decide if they are buyers or sellers. By week six, can a team really figure out if they should sell their stars? A 2-4 team has just as good of a shot of getting out of the cellar as a 4-2 team does of missing the playoffs. They should move the deadline to week eight, so by then teams are aware of their predicament.
Also, the reason the deadlines in the MLB, NBA and NHL are causes for chaos is because they all have farm systems. The NFL has no farm system. Players who are hot prospects in the NFL are stars. Do you think the Patriots would have traded Matt Cassel for Kurt Warner last year? Or that the Jets would trade Mark Sanchez for Carson Palmer this year? There are no prospects or farm-level players in the NFL.

NFL suspended Panthers S Dante Wesley one game without pay for violating player safety rules in Week 6 against the Buccaneers.
Wesley flagrantly launched himself into Bucs returner Clifton Smith while covering a punt, well before Smith had fielded the ball. He was immediately ejected, and is lucky Smith wasn't seriously injured on the brutal play.
Scout.com's Adam Caplan reports that the Packers recently tried out free agent Ahman Green.
Titans owner Bud Adams told the Nashville Tennessean that he wants to see Vince Young play more going forward.
"I have been wanting (Jeff Fisher) to play Vince Young more because (Kerry) Collins has been having his problems," Adams said. "I just think we need to find out how well (Young) can do." Adams is a longtime V.Y. supporter, so this was expected. He added that he'd have to "look at that pretty hard" if the Titans "don't look better" when asked about Fisher's job security.

There are no prospects or farm-level players in the NFL. I think you make a good point, but I don't think NFL in season trades will ever be like the NBA or MLB. It just isn't a sport that lends itself to going to a new team mid-season. Everything is so intricate and you not only have to learn new plays, but new terminology as well. Baseball is probably the easiest sport to go from one team to another because what you do play to play basically stays the same.

I know he wants to see what Young can do, but there's got to be a good reason that Fisher won't start Young. Fisher's not an idiot. This is the same guy who last year couldn't handle the pressure of being booed. Also on ESPN they mentioned that when Young was a starter he was 30 minutes late for a team flight, the team left without him, and Young was pissed at the team for leaving without him. There's a legit reason that Jeff Fisher won't start Vince Young.

And there's a chance Fisher could be gone at the end of the season Which is stupid. After everything he's done with the Titans, he should be able to leave on his own terms.
