There was a question asked on Wrestling Observer Radio today about why Beth Phoenix wasn't used in WWE for a month, and noticed she had been away for four weeks, which led the person asking the question to wonder if Beth had failed a wellness test.
This led to Dave and Bryan discussing why no Divas have failed wellness tests yet, and they were surprised that there were no Divas on the Signature list. Really hope they weren't trying to implicate Beth or anything, as I'm sure WWE wouldn't hesitate to suspend a Diva if need be.
Any thoughts?

Don't suspensions have to be announced?

Forgot to mention that one of Dave's sources within WWE claimed that he was surprised that he wasn't on the list, because he had been put in touch with Signature by a Diva who was a customer with them.

I don't think any of the current Diva's, maybe with the exception of Beth Phoenix (and that's a big maybe), would use steroids. Women who use steroids tend to lose their feminine looks, and this would hurt their jobs with the WWE. As for other drugs, I wouldn't be surprised if a few have used them. I don't think any of the current Diva's use any hard drugs, but taking into account their lifestyle and youth, I can see them using a drug such as weed, and drinking lots of alcohol.
I don't know anything about this, but I wonder if the WWE has any restrictions on weight loss supplements? The Diva's get by on their looks, and I'm sure it isn't easy to stay skinny while on the road most of the year. With that said, I can see a lot of Mickey James and Michelle McCool jokes coming.

Its quite normal for Divas to be taken off TV for weeks at a time, so I wouldn't automatically assume Wellness if one is missing. They do test the Divas, but the kinds of drugs women would abuse (diet pills for instance) aren't necessarily the ones that they test for.
On the other subject for publicizing failures, there have been rumors that they've quietly discontinued that policy. The fact that they only announced the reason for Umaga's firing when they were called out by The Sun newspaper seems to back up that fact. Plus there were rumors that Batista's injury was actually a cover for a test failure. Of course even if that is true, I'm sure that they would not hesitate to make an example of a Diva who failed a Wellness test just so they can say "See, we test women too! That's how serious we take our drug testing."
So in short, I don't think its true, but its certainly possible.

You know Tammy Sytch or Sunny whatever you wanna call her said she used steroids in her WWE stint, did she lose her looks at the time?
You can use steroids for many different things, one of which is to help burn fat so your body fat percentage is super low.

In the post-Benoit crackdown on Steroids, Victoria was melting away just as fast as Snitsky was.

The girls don't need to take steroids to maintain their shape. I guarantee there are other types of drugs not on the list that can help the divas, without being caught. . . Is HGH on the Wellness list?
I'd also imagine that they'd have an easier time maintaining their figures because their style and appearances are less strenuous then the men.

Is HGH on the Wellness list? Yes it is, but there isn't a test for it so the only way to be suspended for it is if you are caught red-handed. Women have been known to take low-level steroids to burn fat faster, and there are a lot of celebrities who have used HGH as an anti-age treatment. I wouldn't be shock to find out that there are Divas on either HGH or steroids, but I don't think that they would necessarily be the obvious suspects. Not that it will stop people from throwing open the floor for wild accusations.

Well with Beth in particular I think the absence had more to do with Melina getting injured, and creative figuring out what to do with her instead. After Mickie's title programme with Beth finished she went on to feud with Katie Lea over the title, while Beth feuded with Melina (including an I Quit match I'd love to see done similarly at Breaking Point). But just as that angle was heating up Melina injured her ankle, leaving Beth without a programme as the Mickie-Katie feud was still ongoing. Beth then re-appeared a month later to defeat Santino in an open challenge, which then started the 'Glamarella' angle.
I've long had a suspicion that the Glamarella push was originally planned for Katie and Paul, but once the Beth and Santino pairing was pitched to give those two something to do and came across great on TV, they swapped them quickly.

Which would be due to them having that bikini match on the Seth Green Raw, and the 'She's Got Legs' match on the ZZ Top Raw.

Wouldn't steroids make women grow mustaches and/or beards, and maybe even a deeper voice?

Wouldn't steroids make women grow mustaches and/or beards, and maybe even a deeper voice? Well, if they were using them like Nicole Bass or something, yes. But while I'm not a steroid expert and don't know what I'm talking about, there's a lot of different things that have different uses that the Divas could be using that don't give them deeper voices.
