Looking through the ads in the Sunday paper today, the Best Buy ad promoted an exclusive "2 disc edition" of The Rise and Fall of WCW for $22.99 while a "single disc" edition is $17.99
Ignoring the fact that the disc is supposed to be a multiple disc set anyways, any news on what is this supposed exclusive?
I have a feeling that it will just be a copy of the Monday Night Wars DVD attached

It's The Rise & Fall of ECW DVD. The full package, right? With the extra disc? So the whole bundle would be 2 disc WCW DVD, along with 2 disc ECW DVD. Right? If so, I'm getting it, as I never bought the ECW dvd.

I thought it was supposed to be a multi-disc set anyway.

anyone yet know how censored/edited the WCW dvd is? I kinda want it, but not if its heavily "Vincized".

Watched the doc today... pretty good, I suppose. By far, the weakest of all the company retrospective dvds they've released.

So if we combine this DVD, the Horsmen DVD, the Starrcade DVD, Ric Flair's DVD, the nWo DVD, hulk Hogan dvd, and the MNW DVD would it cover all of our bases

Hold on now.....I thought the WCW dvd is 3 discs long? Highspots has it listed as such.
So at Best Buy it's: the WCW dvd (3 discs) + ECW dvd (2 discs)? I already have ECW...might just hit up Walmart and cop it.

Yes, that sounds right to me.
The amazing part is: 16.99 for just the 3 discs of WCW (which SHOULD undercut Wal-Mart's traditional 19.99), 23.99 for 3 disc of WCW plus 2 discs of ECW, meaning you really are only paying the price of the tax in most places for five discs.
I've actually never watched ECW in my life either, so I'm probably going to bite for this. Was actually out looking for the other two WWE ECW DVDs this evening just to compliment and complete the collection. WCW I know what I'm getting into, ECW on the other hand...
Thank goodness no classes on Tuesday, could be a LONG day of DVD watching.

I'll make sure to keep ahold of the Best Buy circular and take it with me on Tuesday when I drop by after classes.
