If Nigel can stay healthy I'm certain he'll become a big WWE star. As for Danielson, I just don't see him making it past the midcard level in the WWE. And I'm saying that as a fan, but he just doesn't have that "it" that WWE looks for in talent. Nigel, on the other hand does.

That's yet another Brit on the roster.
So now we have..... William Regal Steve "DJ Gabriel" Lewington Paul Burchill Katie Lea Burchill Finlay Drew Mcintyre and now Nigel McGuiness
Cruel Britannia indeed.
A ready made faction of ruthless, aggressive heels who wants to rule over the 3 brands.
Hell if I got my way, I would give them this theme, or a slightly modified version of it.
I love the tune after the opening rule britannia tune.

When I refer to my expectations for Punk, I'm referring to his performance, not his kayfabed accomplishments. Sure, his list of accomplishments is impressive, but I'm still underwhelmed by him as a performer. His promos are average (but much better than the sleep-inducing dullness they once were) and his workrate is probably slightly below average. I think I shall Google some of McGuinness' work and then let the entire forum know what I think of it. They're not kayfabed accomplishments. A kayfabed accomplishment would be like Buddy Rogers winning the WWF title in a tournament in Rio De Janero when there was no tournament. He really is a three time world champion and he is over. No offense, but whether or not you personally like his work based on whatever your own arbirtrary criteria might be doesn't really count for much (at least not for purposes of this particular discussion). If his work is so average, why is he doing so well? The same reason people call HHH stale and Orton boring. If thats the case, Why are they doing so well? The hype punk got coming into the WWE was that he was the greatest thing since sliced bread with awesome promos. He is alright in the ring but overrated in promos. So his criteria for punk count as much as anyone elses. Which leads to Nigel. He is going to see how this guy does before hailing him a top 5 WWE talent which some around here will in the near future.

Having watched Punk when he speaks unscripted and says whatever he deems is necessary on the mic, the one thing I can safely say about him is that he is NOT overrated at promos. He's easily one of the best speaking talents to come down the road in ages...but he may just not work quite as well with a script, I honestly don't know, as I don't watch WWE much at all. By the by, it was asked before if anyone would chant "YOU SOLD OUT" at Nigel, and the quick answer is no. ROH fans aren't known for that chant unless they're doing it at an angle where, for example, somebody turns heel by taking a bribe or offer from Prince Nana or something.

Everyone's opinion counts in the abstract, or if we're talking about how much we personally like a certain wrestler. I guess I got mixed up, I thought we were talking about how well a guy actually does in terms of tangible success. My bad.

With all this ROH talent leaving I can only hope that Larry Sweeney and Los Ice Creams are not far behind. Dammit, I want sprinkles in WWE!
Good on Nigel, I hope he does really well. Who would've thought we could see Nigel vs Danielson on WWE TV?

Los Ice Creams have never stepped foot in ROH & Larry Sweeney is no longer employed by ROH nor is he in any shape right now to work. He's still recovering from his problems. May WWE never raid Chikara talent.

This is cool I guess, even though I find him boring. And I hope that he never wins a Title, that way I won't have to see him stradle the ring apron and present his ass to the crowd.

I'm really loving WWE's aquisitions over the past couple of years! They are starting to get well rounded WRESTLERS that are already ready to go!! Hopefully this is a trend that will continue!
While I dont think that Nigel can have a great match with ANYONE like Danielson can, he'll still have a huge future with WWE!!
Grow your spikes back!!
