Ya know...now that Sinister mentions it...just about everything Abyss has been involved with almost deserves a Gooker nomination. Abyss is really becoming TNA's version of Kane in that regard (great worker who gets put in some truly terrible storylines). He's been in some pretty crappy angles in 2007, and I think 2006, too. Only problem is that Kane can afford it, but Abyss, well, can't. actually, at this point, there's not much more he can sink.

I'd go with either just about anything involving EY or the never-ending Lethal/Dutt feud.
I can't really remember any, but how many TV matches has Sonjay even won since that feud ended?

Seriously, I said since the beginning of 08 and I said that the whole Abyss angle would be the front runner for TNA. I think just the whole debacle of the Abyss/Judas Mesias barbed wire massacre match at AAO 2008 may deserve the award. First they book the match, then they find out that barbed wire matches are not allowed in South Carolina, due to the blood involved... so they end up taping that match a week early in the Impact Zone in Orlando, which is shown during the PPV. Plus, there was very little blood in the match itself, which was advertised as the bloodiest match in TNA. I think TNA-MMA should also be a contender. They tried it twice, once for 15 minutes at the beginning of the Joe/Angle match at Lockdown, then again in the Frank Trigg/AJ match at No Surrender. Both times there were loud chants of "We Want Wrestling" by the fans. The Trigg/AJ match even blacked out for some viewers (myself included) and a brief shot of naked chicks were shown before the PPV came back on. The Motor City Machine Guns teaching a gay chorus boy to wrestle on MTV's "Made" should also get a special mention.

Amazing that in only two years, he's gone from the most frightening presence in TNA to a goofy guy in a mask that likes to get drunk and watch Family Guy.

Still don't get how Hornswoggle wasn't voted gooker of the year 2007
I think Abyss takes it this year though

I'd ask about that last bit, but let's face it, it's Abyss, who cares.

Pretty sure he was. I think it was a bigger part of the Vince McMahon crap from 2007.

I've gotta go with the Eric Young searching for Elvis, although the Pac-man/Ron Killings gimmick was a pretty close 2nd (that was 2008, right?)

The whole story arch from Demented mad man, devolved into a weird family drama, that tried to recreate the Undertaker/Kane storyline with guys who shouldn't be put in those roles

I could also see Prince Justice Brotherhood as a possible contender, but I always thought that Curry Man was entertaining. Curry Man = "Action, action, action"!!!!
