I swear I thought he was gonna drive something down to the ring and smash his way in, very epically. Or bring reinforcements like Road Dogg & X-Pac, or both.
Sadly, I was letdown to see him with the lock clippers.

Sadly, I was letdown to see him with the lock clippers. As sad as it is, I was so let down by most of the PPV that I EXPECTED him to come out with something to just get into the Cell with. Him coming out with a car or some surprise backup would have been too...you know. Entertaining. I would have been legitimately shocked if something like that happened. |

I expected EXACTLY what happened, even that HHH would take his time to return to the ring to let Legacy dish out a real beating to HBK. I must be psychic. Or the writers just couldn't come up with something original. A SWAT team that blasts the door open with plastic explosives would have been cool.

I too expected HHH to bring in a forklift or something and smash the cell in. I figured that it was the reason it was the last match in the card as well.

I thought he was gonna return to the ring with a golden retriever and a pair of scissors to scare Legacy out of the cell. Kinda get the feud to come in a full circle.

I thought with the promo Cena and Orton did on the last RAW that somebody was gonna go on top of the cell. Guess not.

I was thinking bolt cutters as soon as he walked off, which just meant King & Cole came across as extra annoying puzzling over WHAT ON EARTH Triple H could be up to and OH MY GOD HAS HUNTER ABANDONED SHAWN.
I know that they couldn't have Cole going "Oh, well he's gone to get bolt cutters I think", that kills any drama, but such bafflement just makes the pair of them look like clueless morons.

Actually, it's possible to open a lock with blunt force. My dad did it once. He just used a hammer to hit the lock until it opened. The lock wasn't even damaged. |
