The Sun always does excellent interviews, and this one is no exception. Steve sounded genuinely happy and like he was in a really good place in his life.
I found his comments on the Jeff Hardy situation rather interesting, especially the revelation that Austin tried reaching out to him a while back. He's also spot on with his assessment of WWE Creative.

Didn't Austin say that before somewhere in a magazine interview a few years back that he would probably still be in there wrestling if the injury hadn't taken place?
Perhaps I'm thinking of Bret Hart, I dunno.

That was a great interview, he sounded so enthusiastic, it was also good to hear he's in good health, I thought his neck was worse listening to the various stories had about the state of his body.
I also liked that he said he wanted his movies to appeal to his wrestling fans before anybody else.
Calling the guy who made his HoF video package to thank him was a classy touch too.

I wish he would had took the guest host spot on Raw. As I understand it, it was either Raw or Chuck and if I am honest. I´d rather see him on Chuck

I am glad he is staying away from WWE.
The current product bums me out enough without Stone Cold coming out, shaking hands with Cena before giving him a hug, telling the crowd Cena will open up a can of whoopfanny on Orton at the PPV, then motioning for some ice cold Capri Suns to share as RAW ends.

Exactly. That is why I am kinda apprehensive about The Rock guest hosting Raw. Yeah it would be great and I would probably stay up to watch Raw live for the first time in years but it would just be depressing once it was over and we had to go back to normal.

I would love it if Austin never got injured and could still go today. But part of me wonders if he wouldn't have wound up "taking his ball and going home" again like towards the end of his run. If his heat with Vince got serious enough, I'd be afraid of him winding up in the Impact Zone as Chilly McFreeze.
I'm just glad the man has a career where he makes good money and doesn't have to wreck his body.
