Am I missing a lot by not having WGN in my area and therefore unable to watch Superstars?
It's the only WWE or TNA show I can't watch, but it made me wonder if there's anything significant.
It sounds like it's a show with randomly thrown together matches having nothing to do with current storylines.

That's exactly it. If you just wanna see some matches, it's awesome. Story wise, you're not missing anything. It's still worth a look, though. And easy to download.

I wouldn't say it's nothing but "randomly thrown together matches having nothing to do with current storylines" because there's continuations of feuds like Shelton vs. Sheamus and Cryme Tyme vs. Hart Dynasty from tonight.
It's Sunday Night Heat 2K9, with a little more star power.

I usually watch the whole thing on fast forward just to see who wins the matches. If Impact wasn't also on Thursday's I might watch the whole thing, but 3 hours of wrestling in one night is too much for me.

Superstars doesn't have crossbrand matches, actually. Each is confined to its own brand with its own commentary team.

Superstars is definitely awesome. I dont watch it every week, but I try to catch it when I get a chance. Especially if you dig the midcard guys on each brand, its a must see. Barring ECW which almost always has solid matches, it typically has the beat wrestling action across the shows.

Superstars works pretty well. If you don't catch it, you don't really miss anything vital, but if you do watch it, it just adds to feuds and characters.

Its a nice way to showcase some of the midcard talent, definitely. I still think there should be WAY more jobber squashes on there though, like the old school Superstars.
