I understood it to be you can use 10 CAWs per story any number of times you want. I really hope GamingRing have got that wrong. If they've not got it wrong and it really is 1 CAW 10 times, I'll certainly think twice about buying it, as last year's, while fun for the add-ons, due to the labourious CAW process and hit-and-miss bits and pieces, didnt end up value for money. On his twitter account, The Gamingring guy has repeated to three others who have asked. You can only use a CAW ten times per story |

I know it's never going to happen but it'd be cool if they'd let us book matches (by that I mean letting us decide who goes over and how) in GM Mode.

Also that if you use 10 CAWs you can only use them once each. I have to say....that's probably my purchase out. I regretted buying last year;'s game (didnt get SVR 08, I only got last year's cause I wanted a new wrestling game fed up of playing SVR07, which was also pretty dire), and since Story Mode was the one improvement that had me interested and now that's messed up, I'm not interested. I know there's other improvements but it sounds like some may be more misleading comments, and even so they won't be enough. 50 CAWs is awesome but making just 1 CAW up to scratch was labourious last year, and it sounds easier now but not much. Can't understand this limitation in Story Mode.I could get it for online but, for your own stories WHY the limit? This whole emphasis on creativity is bollocksed up by this limitation, and I literally have no story I could do now as every single plan I had involved at least 1 CAW. There's no reason for this limit. But then there's also no reason for HIAC still not finally having weapons back (never a reason to take the weapons out either), and no reason for no Intergender matches (I also wanted to have Divas challenging for Mens titles/beating male superstars). Or perhaps the reason for this is so they can fix these pointless restrictions next year and market it as a "brand new improvement & feature!!". Would be typical of THQ. Strikes me that they could make a really top notch wrestling game if they wanted, and could have avoided the Story and intergender limitations at least (even if a simple HIAC improvement as well may not be much to ask), but they didn't as spinning it out by producing sub-best product each year keps the fanboys shelling out every year. I didn't buy 08, I regretted 09, unless this limitation turns out to be somehow misunderstood I doubt I'll buy 2010. I want to get the game but I don't want to buy something I'll like for a month or 2 then regret getting. |

Here's what made me really sick.
The Gamingring guy said something like this in a reply on his Twitter page....
"but, there's always career mode!"
... oh, yay...
But, realistically, folks. This is all coming from the guy who year-in and year-out says "(insert latest THQ wrestling game here) is the greatest wrestling game I've ever played"
Even said it about last year's Smackdown, which was (IMO) the worst in the history of the series.

Honestly, did any of you really think you could have limitless CAWs in your created story? I doubt you can even use unlimited actual wrestlers in your story.

Well, for uploading purposes I figured it'd be ten, but I don't understand why they'd limit it to ten even when you're just creating them for your own purposes.

Note the "Created Superstar s Used" I'm really hoping that means you can use 10 created superstars in a story and not you can use a created superstar 10 times and if you want to use ten? Tough luck because you can only use one for every 10 segment. Edit: I think I might be starting to get it. "You can use a Caw up to ten times" in a story probably means you can use up to 10 caws in a storyline. He probably worded it poorly. at least, thats what I'm hoping. |

That one bastard who keeps saying "WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH" made me so mad that I wanted to find out where he lived just so I could punch him. Another thing that angers me are all the "well, I don't use CAW's, so it doesn't matter to ME!" marks. I don't give a snork what part of what wrestling game you don't use. I don't give a crap about the Highlight reel gimmick, but you don't hear me saying it. |
