I miss this HBK. He really puts Triple H in his place in this one and I feel a heel HBK versus a babyface Triple H feud would work if HBK were to return doing the bitter, angry man routine.

Absolutely, a heel turn by hbk would work. It should be a subtle turn on hhh on the grounds of his pressured return to the ring only to get beaten on a regular basis. It should be just as subtle as their origional reunion was. I would have hbk getting more and more frustrated with their matches and have him slowly work against hhh in promos. For example, he could take longer to respond to hhh or do lap slower or without smiling. this would of course culmitate with scm. Or if orton starts getting desparate about keeping legacy together, he could try getting in hbk's head planting seeds of doubt. but then that would probably make hbk look more like a tool. but this fued should end with hbk moving to smack down and fueding with some of the heel there and creating some fresh matches.

It would take alot of work and be correctly booked. Also he would still get cheered by some people no matter what, although Hogan was very hated after years of being a face. I would love to see HBK turn heel so he could wrestle some of the younger guys and help put them over, especially John Morrison. The turn could easily start at Bragging Rights where HBK refuses to get tagged in by Cody Rhoades and costs Raw the match. HHH gets upset and confronts HBK on Raw, HBK explains that he didn't want to help Cody and thought he was doing HHH a favor. HBK then tells HHH that he started DX and he is sick of HHH treating him like a lacky, this turns into a fued between the two. After a few months HBK gets traded to Smackdown. As soon as he gets there he interferes in a match between CM Punk and Batista for the world title costing Batista the belt. HBK starts an alliance with Punk because HBK once had drug problems that nearly ruined his life and agrees with Punk's way of life and his statements about the fans and other wrestlers. He also claims that he is not respected enough by the younger wrestlers/fans and believes that no one else in the WWE is currently even on the same level as him. This leads to a classic fued with John Morrison, who admits to being a lifelong fan of HBK, but believes he can steal the show from HBK. If turning on HHH and alligning with Punk couldn't get HBK over as a heel, I am not sure what could.

Awesome promo, but that promo makes Shawn Michaels seem like the babyface. We boo a guy who you, in principle, agree with?

No. No DX reunion when ratings start to sag. The E doesn't care about competent storylines anymore and just keeps DX as a back up in case people don't watch "the viper" and Cena.
