Just watched it and like any time I watch a classic match I need to make a thread about it. Awesome.

Great match, indeed. It's mostly famous for the fan run-in though.

Great match, indeed. It's mostly famous for the fan run-in though. sadly WWE edited it out of the DVD release of the match I watched it on the Ladder match DVD, and they replaced the fan run in with a shot of Benoit watching from the crowd. If that match ever gets put on a DVD again, I'll be curious to see how they edit the fan footage out. (As well as the Benoit footage, as there is a lot of emphasis on him watching from the crowd.)

That was one of the first times I ever saw the sunset flip power bomb from the ladder spot. Good times

Cracking match, Eddie & RVD had several good matches that year. I also like their regular IC title match at Backlash 2002. Also had a few things I hadn't seen before in it.

I believe in his book. Eddie at first thought the fan was Crash Holly.
I would've liked to have seen the IC title defended under 24/7 rules

When Eddie took a bump off the ladder when RVD drop-kicked it, I can't believe how close to landing right on it Eddie was. He could've broken a rib or something.

I freaking LOVE this match, and it always makes me sad that they never gave RVD and Eddie an extended feud. A couple of months just wasn't enough, considering that they always had the best match on the card during their short rivalry.
RVD is often criticized for not being that great of a technical wrestler, but he was absolutely amazing when working with technical wrestlers. It's all about a great meshing of styles, and he had that with Eddie Guerrero. I recall an interview where Eddie called RVD one of his favorite all time opponents, and I'm sure this match is a big reason why.

I love these two... this is the first time I've actually seen the match and I really enjoyed it.

I always remember this match, it was simply awesome.
Plus I LOVED their feud, because they were two of my favorite wrestlers I always wanted to see tear it up in the ring. It would be like if HBK and Christian feuded today and had a Ladder Match on ECW or something!

I think it's on the first Eddie DVD or the RVD one. Maybe both? I will watch it later and see. I know both were released before 2007, so he should be in them.

I did not see the TV match, but I saw them in a Ladder Match at the Garden in August 2002.
Without exaggeration, I walked away CONVINCED that Eddy was an artist (and I still have not been made to believe otherwise!)- incredible work.
