I'm kinda-sorta thinking that Punk will be added to the match, really. If he isn't I expect Jericho to win, but if he is then I figure most of the storyline building to the match will center around him and Taker having to reluctantly work together to fend off Big Show & Jericho's alliance, only for Punk to stab Taker in the back and steal the title at Survivor Series. I figure either he'll be in the match somehow or he'll captain a Survivor Series team. That tends to happen with the main eventers who aren't up for title shots for the PPV.

I'm pretty sure either 'Taker is retaining or Jericho wins by Show's help, which begins the break-up of Jerishow, which would be BS cause I actually like this team, but thats what happens when a team is getting over in the WWE, they go and break them up...

I'm hoping for... Well, I'm hoping for Punk to be added and then win the match because I don't want the World title on any of these guys.
If I had to pick one, though, it would be Jericho. Naturally could use this to (finally) break up Jericho & Show, and hopefully Jericho's track record for pointlessly short title reigns can continue because while I like the guy, his serious character bores the hell out of me and I have no interest in seeing Jericho / Edge at Mania as it is, much less as the main event.

"Finally" break up? They have been a team for about 4 months. That's nothing.

Thinking Jericho and Show will drop the titles either right before or right after Survivor Series, since I'm thinking Jericho's taking the strap. Which, honestly, I don't really want to see happen. It beats Taker, but serious Jericho's gotten old in my opinion and it would lead to Edge / Jericho headlining Mania more than likely - surely be good, but I have no interest in that match as an undercard one, much less the main event. Though if Jericho does win, and defends against Taker at TLC, then people can finally stop inexplicably wanting that match to happen so there's that. Well I'd say you were in the minority on this. A face Edge vs Jericho is the kind of fresh feud we've all claimed to have wanted. Can't see taker losing though.

His reign ended too early, and I really don't want to see him get shuffled back down to the midcard. If they can have Triple H/Orton/Cena circling the WWE Title picture like sharks around blood, then they should let Punk have more than just three months of facetime in the World Title scene.

So what did Big Show even do to get the title match?

So what did Big Show even do to get the title match? It's his reward from Teddy Long for helping SmackDown win the Bragging Rights match.

Right, they said his contract had expired and he chose to jump ship. Though a better example is Edge. Was on Raw, he cashed in on Taker and was suddenly on SmackDown. Though weirdly Punk didn't go to SmackDown when he took Edge's title the next year - I guess either the writing's just inconsistent (okay, that's the answer), or it depends on what day of the week you win the belt. I guess the rule is that you stay on the show you win the title on. What I understood (from the draft) is that If you move to a show with a title you take the title with you. Like Rey with the IC title and MVP with the US title. If you Show wins he take the gold to RAW but since he can go on all three brands he can take the gold wherever. Remember how Punk cashed in on Edge and took the title to RAW?

You are trying to apply logic to WWE, a place where logic is manipulated the way the writers want it to go.
I mean, Lashley got drafted to RAW and thus had to relinquish his ECW title, but when Kane got drafted to RAW he stayed ECW champ until he lost to Henry.
There really is no set rule to this, its whatever the WWE writers want it to be. Show isn't gonna win anyway though so it doesn't matter.

Big Show does admittedly have a history of randomly winning World titles at the Survivor Series for no reason. See 1999 and 2002.

Sigh...no wonder WWE does the 3 month rule on us so much...we don't even pay attention to the rules!
Remember the 2008 Draft anyone? Where Cole stated: "Any champion that switches shows brings that title with them!"
That rule also applies to winning titles as well because later that year Miz & Morrison won the World Tag titles and they became property of ECW.

The three big examples I can think of are Lashley being traded to Raw and forfeiting the ECW title, Edge cashing in on Taker and suddenly being a member of the SmackDown roster, and Matt Hardy being traded to ECW with the US title and then basically defending it on SmackDown exclusively for a couple of months before he randomly dropped it to Shelton Benjamin.

Reread what I said: 2008 Draft!!! I'm sorry I forgot to clarify the part where Cole said: A new rule for this year... Lashley was traded in 2007 and Edge won the title in 2007. And just like Miz & Morrison, Shelton took advantage of the Talent-Exchange to win the US Title and make it property of SD.
