People were raving about the Melissa Anderson vs. Awesome Kong match at the last tapings. The match wasn’t taped for television and was just something thrown out, and it blew everyone away. Anderson will not be used as Cheerleader Melissa, and the working idea for her is to go as Melissa Anderson, “Future Legend,” because she was given that award many years back at the Cauliflower Alley Club.. There are no plans right now to use her on television without the Raisha Saeed gimmick. The match was so good that when it was over, Raven remarked it was the best women’s match he had seen in ten years, and he’s not known for being that kind of generous when it comes to complimenting people’s work. It's been said that if it was compared to the Kong vs. Gail Kim matches of 2008, that this match was more believable but that Kong vs. Kim was more spectacular .

Even Raven's raving rapids....errg I mean about this match.......f***, I hope they either just randomly air it like they did with Daizee/Melissa, or I hope they put it on as a webmatch. That's what happens when you put probably the two best women's wrestlers currently in america bar none. Hopefully TNA realizes that they seriously need to put Melissa on air asap.

I wish TNA Creative would get their heads out of whatever asses they're in and put Melissa on TV as Melissa! Raisha Saeed has run its course and needs to go the way of old yeller. Kong really doesn't need her anymore.

If the match got the reaction that everyone's saying it got, from the fans in the arena to the boys in the back, then there is absolutely NO reason not to use Melissa on tv, other than pure stubborness or unreasonable dedication the Saeed character, who will never be one tenth as over as Melissa. |

It just makes no sense. They have a female wrestler who I consider the best woman's wrestler in the world, who is good looking and can do interviews. Instead they keep dressing her as a muslim woman and doing god knows what. It's just a waste of time. Really wish they would come around this.
Good to see Raven making comments on TNA again. Looove it. He needs to start booking NOW.

They can get some other woman who doesn't wrestle to talk for Kong. How about the BP take out Saeed and then go from there. Kong doesn't really need a manager now that she's a face.

If they really wanna keep Raisha with Kong then damn just dress somebody else up like her. Not like the casual fan would ever tell the difference since we never see her face. If Kong/Melissa are putting on matches this damn good as they claim then have it on TV.

Looks like theyre doing something with her, because there was an obvious sign in the front row of the Saeed webmatch that the camera focused on a lot, that had her eyes and said Unveil the Legend. And seeing as her gimmick would be future Legend, and that sign was at the tapings that she debuted that at, then id say that was TNAs idea.

As I understand it, it wasn't Melissa's idea. I've heard the WWE was going to use her under a similar gimmick to manage . . . uh, Hassan, I think? That deal fell through for whatever reason, but the ex-WWE guys in TNA recycled the gimmick for their own show.
I've also heard that they have asked her to unveil before, and she's refused because it would upset her fans.
It does seem as if they're going to be using her as herself. Which is good news for anyone who likes women's wrestling. I've seen her matches with Kong on the SHIMMER DVDs and they are glorious. They blow Kong vs Kim out of the water.

Leave her as Raisha for the moment, says I. Why? Well you have the BP being built up to be the strongest heels the division's seen for a while. You have a newly debuted Tara/Victoria being thrown into the mix alongside several other Knockouts who can go if needed.
Bringing yet another "new" face into the mix at this point would simply increase the chances of her getting lost in the mix.
For the time being, Raisha/Melissa is getting airtime as Kong's handler. If they're going to introduce her as a different character, let Kong go for some much needed recovery time and let the current batch of feuds play themselves out before doing so.
