Doesn't surprise me. Kennedy has outlived any potential he had to be a big star in wrestling. If he were to remain in the business he would make a good announcer or manager, but he's not gonna be a main event player in wrestling. He could stay as a mid-card act, but with ALL of the chances WWE gave him and all the times they tried to push him, he's done.
It baffles me everytime I see someone talking about how good he would be for TNA. Huh? If he didn't do anything for the WWE, what the hell good will he be in TNA?

yeah, its not like WWE held Kennedy back or anything. He was repeatedly given shots, but failed to get over as a main eventer more various reasons

Wasted potential, whether by bad luck or his own fault, that debate has been done to death, so eh.
This seems like awfully safe newz, don't you think? He was fired, it's not like anyone is there to say why, so why not guess? Could this stuff be true? Hell if I know, hell if I care. Pretty much no confirming or denying such vague guesswork.

Well, if this is not newz, perhaps Hardcore Holly was telling the truth about Kennedy.

The same die hard fans are always gonna watch TNA, and until they dramatically change their product pretty much no one else is going to, so it doesn't matter who they have at the top of their card.

Kennedy had the potential to be a main eventer. There was a time when he seemed like a shoe-in for the role of a top guy in the company. Nevermind the who "KENNEDY...KENNEDY!" schtick, the guys was really damn good on the mic. He may never put on any five-star Meltzer classics, but he could still put on a good match.
The truly sad thing is it's really no one's fault that it didn't happen. He'd get injured or something just prior to that one last push into the stratusphere, and then the last time he was busted for steroids...leaving aside WWE's hypocrisy, the blame for that really falls on his shoulders.
He wouldn't be a bad acquisition for TNA. The real question is...is he worth it?

I can understand people not liking Kennedy, but why do they always make Holly out to be some kind of martyr? Dude was a bully and midcarder for life.
Just because Kennedy misbehaved in (supposedly) getting him fired doesn't excuse Holly's dickish behavior in other situations.

Kennedy needs to be on the next plane to Tokyo. He has the mic skills down a solid character but his ring work to me was always average at best. Go to Japan for a year and get really good in the ring and make a comeback in the U.S. it would do wonders for his career.
