Nigel McGuiness from ROH. How good a wrestler was he in ROH? I don't get to watch ROH, so that is why I am asking?

I don't get to watch ROH, so that is why I am asking? I don't know is it? Anyway, the dude is all heart out there and, an amazing heel. His style is unique but, works well with damn near everyone. As a face, he relied too much on his lariat to get him over.

Nigel can talk, Nigel can work, Nigel carries himself with excellent charisma and presence...Nigel can do it all.
He can also wrestle in the European "catch as catch can" style, can go the hard hitting route just as easily, and can play face or heel well, though he's a flat-out exceptional heel when it comes to his ring psychology in the role.

^^^^I've seen that vid before and it's a damn near perfect retrospect of at Nigel short of watching his matches.
When i made Nigel on Raw vs Smackdown 2006 he promptly beat the shit out of everyone.
I like how they made Desmond look like a billion bucks against Angle.
He'll prove his self worth.

It seemed like every other move he threw was one and if he wasn't using it the crowd didn't care.

Speaking of the lariat, It looks awesome, and would decapitate me...
BUT...
Does he need to do that upside down in the ropes thing before hand? Even kayfabe, I don't see how that adds more momentum than running off the ropes.
Still he looks like the real deal, I was impressed.

It throws him forward and more into it than simply bouncing off the ropes would.

Just think of it like a moonsault or 450. It looks cool so who cares! Really, I would just think the whiplash effect on him would add more force to it.

Really, I would just think the whiplash effect on him would add more force to it. It may and probably does. Like I said, I am no physics expert... ;D Still, I'd be worried about catching my neck on the top rope. Still think Nigel/Wolfe is awesome though.

Still he looks like the real deal, I was impressed. 90% of the time he uses it as a counter when someone either throws him into the rope or at least knocks him back towards the rope. whenever he does it out of the blue like that match, it does look rather stupid.
