Technically, aren't ALL the top TNA guys straight out of the video game? Kurt Angle was in that video game! Samoa Joe was also in that video game. WWE should start doing this too. "Look at that King, straight out of Smackdown vs Raw 2009 here comes John Cena!!" True, but John Cena isn't imaginary. (Sadly, as some would say.)

i never thought id see the day when robocop in wcw was less insulting to intelligence than something, especially in 2008, but since russo still has a job i probably shouldnt have given the business so much credit

I dunno I have kinda stopped blaming Russo for everything. It can't all be his fault...well ok this smells Russoriffic but they have laid off the non-stop gimick matches. Anyone remember the stairway to hell Sting/Abyss match a few years ago? That was wrestlecrap and a Russo creation. As I recall the crowd was chanting something...

You mean "That was Awesome" after Sting got chokeslammed onto the coffin lid by Abyss? Yeah, I remember. Another reason I don't see why anyone would take the "fire Russo" chants seriously.

Actually that match was Dutch Mantell's idea. Like the previous poster said, the very same match where 30 seconds after the "Fire Russo" chants started, they chanted "This is awesome". Back on topic though, I actually like Suicide and really don't see what the problem with the character is. I will admit that I liked Tenay saying that he was a "masked vigilante" better than "from the video game".

Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Skullomania? Dude, GOOD call, and an obscure reference, to boot. Kickass.

I really dig Suicide, but am on the fence on the booking. One the positive end, I will strongly argue that Suicide is the most kick-ass superhero wrestler of all time. His outfit is pretty cool, it's kinda evil Spiderman like. (Venom?) He's got an awesome entrance and move-set also.
Now the negative end is, how the hell does he fit in to the roster? Currently, he's just doing barely logical run-ins. (or fly-ins). So I suppose another thread could be, how would you book Suicide? It's kind of tough. I like the character but how do you book a fantasy based character.
Personally, I would run with the whole duality of a superhero thing and he's trying to hide his identity from the TNA roster but the audience is in on it. If you're using fantasy based characters, the wrestling world must be part fantasy.
If it's not we just have a guy who dresses like a superhero for the hell of it (or because it's cool, or he likes it.) If you go that route, then you book something like who is the guy behind the mask and interviews like Who are you really, why are you now dressing like a superhero and calling yourself Suicide? (that's much less fun than the fantasy, but the reality booking is basically anchored to this.) The question 'Who is Suicide' fits both of these bookings but what direction to go, who knows?

"Look at that King, straight out of Smackdown vs Raw 2009 here comes John Cena!!" No, that would never work. But since Suicide is working so well for TNA since their video game, I can't wait until Masked Man and Tony debut in WWE.

suicide's a bad gimmick, he'll get the "fired" briefcase next. but don't feel bad for Kaz when he gets to go home with traci brooks.
