I liked it and I was a kid at the time. Me too. I remember I used to beg my parents to make sure we were home on time so I wouldn't miss ECW or that roller-derby show.

I went to a lot of ECW house shows and there were plenty of kids in the crowd.
In fact, at one house show after New Jack cleaned house he brought a little girl [she couldnt have been older than 7] into the ring and danced with her to his theme song. Haha!
Hmm,,maybe New Jack, instead of being the next Denzel, can be the next Eddie Murphy (and i mean the current, family-friendly eddie).

Also, my little sister was around six at the time and she always watched ECW with me. Her faves were RVD, Al Snow [she loved the mannequin head gimmick], Sabu, and Taz.
This was in 1998, by the way.
Of course now I expect someone who knows crap all about the original ECW come in here and say only bitter old smarks who wanted to see intense violence liked ECW. Not true, my friends.Ah, but don't you realize that anyone that goes against that particular WWE/Bitter Old Schooler programing is a Kool Aid drinking moron?

I don't recall seeing any kids in the crowds until the TNN era. "We need some kids!"

you mean the one with Don Muraco, Jimmy Snuka and Salvatore Bellomo in a Gladiator outfit? I'm sure some kids got a kick out of that.

I was in my early teens when ECW really started building a huge following for itself circa 1994. I was a fan of the product - so much so that I got my parents to order VHS tapes of ECW for me.
