In the days on the net fans (i also have a strong feeling that this era will be known as the internet era) is it even possible to be completly oblivious to anything that goes on backstage
example:
go to google.com and type in WWE to your search engine. you get this
www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=WWE&btnG=Search
now after getting done with all of the actual WWE owned websites, the first website you come across is lordsofpain.com, a dirt sheets website.
now say you don't wanna just look up WWE, usually people would just look up Wrestling. So type in wrestling to your search engine, you get this
www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=Wrestling&btnG=Search
now other than the WWE, TNA and a few amatuer wrestling websites, you come up with: The Observer, Prowrestling.com, 1wrestling.com and other scattered Dirt sheet websites.
now say you wanna look up something on John Cena on Youtube
heres the first video i found, its his old titantron video.
youtube.com/watch?v=Gz8r7vJAMUU
check out the comments left where you can naturally see who would be a Smart Mark, and who would be a Mark.
my question is, Is it even possible to forgo the reality that is wrestling and take it for what its worth. I'm not trashing by any means of these fans. but when the early 90's and earlier hit, I was not aware of things like Sid stabbing Arn Anderson or Ultimate Warrior Holding up Vince for money at SS 92. but nowadays they even mention backstage things right out in the open. Hell TNA is based towards the NET fans, and if your a casual fan and you Turn on TNA and you see things like VKM skits, or Rhino burning the ECW world title, this is gonna make someone intrested.
Considering my internet has been out all day and I litterly did NOTHING in my apartment, I watched my Wrestling DVDs and was htinking of this all day.
Any comments??
