1. ECW re-birth...after ONS II, it sounded like a good idea and most everybody was on board. After the disaster this past December, it turned out to be the biggest joke of the year.
2. Fan reactions to John Cena...whether it be booing him at Wrestlemania 22 and ONS II or cheering him on vs. K-Fed, the roller coaster year for the company's top draw was certainly quite entertaining.
3. Releasing Kurt Angle...this guy has been a staple in the WWE since his debut vs. Tazz and whether he was on the verge of a physical collapse or not, it was still a huge blow to an already depleted roster.
4. Edge, RVD, Booker T & Mysterio are champs...at the time, it was pretty bold of the WWE to actually put the straps on guys like Edge and Mysterio. As it turned out, it was TOO bold as Edge was a transitional champ at the beginning of 2006, RVD was sort of a transitional champ in the middle of 2006 and Mysterio's title reign was a complete joke. The only legitimate title reign IMO was Booker's.
5. # of PPV's increases; again!...the WWE is starting to look like college football with all the PPV's (bowl games) they expect us to watch, not to mention the two SNME's thrown in there.
6. DX reunites...like most stories this year and on this list, it was pretty huge when it happened, but give it a couple months and it turns out to be a complete joke.
7. Tag team division...at the end of 2005, the tag team division was pretty much a joke; at the end of 2006, the tag team division actually looks promising.
8. HBK & "God" vs. Vince & Shane @ Backlash...to me personally, this is one of the biggest WrestleCrap matches / moments in any pro-wrestling promotion ever.
9. Joey Styles' shoot promo...sure it was a work, but it was a great moment nonetheless.
10. Bret Hart inducted into HOF...I'll agree with the WWE on this one because I personally thought I'd never actually see Hart in the same room w/ HBK, McMahon ever again after everything that has happened since November 1997.
Notable mentions go out to: The Zombie, Euguene turning heel and "The Marine".
