Apparently there's a new guy making the house show rounds by the name of George Murdoch, who squashed Scotty 2 Hotty in what was billed a bad match at a house show yesterday. Does anyone have any info on this guy, because I've never heard of a George Murdoch.

Well for the record MVP was squashed by Scotty also at 2 house shows I attended before his TV debut,so I assume we will be seeing Mr. Murdoch getting a big push on SD if history repeats itself!

No, you misread me. He squashed Scotty, and apparently it was a horrible match, and I just want some more info on the guy.

Well when SmackDown! came to town here last September, Ray Gordy had some stupid name and was tagging with S2H.

George Murdoch was the first mayor of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Dunno if that has any link to the possible new guy

Yeah, Ray Jeezy, the name's based off of Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy. And the gimmick sucked on it's own, but when combined by Carlton Banks-esque Damian Steele, it was hilarious.

According to The Wrestling Observer Website:
--George Murdoch (believe it or not, his real name), who is wrestling on the Smackdown shows all week, is a large (6-3, 325) newcomer who started wrestling in August. He has been based in Deep South and uses the name G. Rilla. The report we got is that he is not a fast learner (they don't even use him in Deep South on TV yet), has no business being on house shows until 2008 at the earliest, but John Laurinaitis is the one who makes these calls, and big guys get rushed to the show. Not the first, and hardly the last. The company is these days largely looking for physical specimens, whether male or female, with the idea of teaching them to be wrestlers, as opposed to recruiting wrestlers or talkers.

Oh, wow, G-Rilla's real name is George? Wow, I've actually seen this guy and yeah, he's Sonny Siaki and Eric Perez's bodyguard in DSW. All he's really done is manhandle Angel Williams. Wow.

And by the way, that is why the product is eroding. I can't think that this is Laurinaitis's idea, and must be an edict from above, he being a guy from the old school and all.

Just that he was a wrestler who worked to get where he is, unless I am uninformed. I would think he has an appreciation for dudes bustin there asses in Indy's for maybe gas money, versus throwing jack at some clown like Nurdoch, because he is a monster type guy.

And for the record, G-Rilla is a monster. He's one of the bigger "non-Andre" type big guys I've ever seen, but he doesn't have the talent to go with his size.
