The vote that nobody wants to cast:
Kenny! Johnny! Mitch! Nicky! Mikey!
And they were...The Spirit Squad!
When they first came in, back in January, there were no five WWE superstars more hated or that recieved more heat from fans than these five cheerleaders. Maybe they wore out their welcome by the summer, but for the first half of 2006, The Spirit Squad were the be-all, end-all heels. Especially for newcomers.

Edge, although Booker was a close second. When you think about it, it was actually a really good year for heels in the WWE.

I voted for King Bookah. Edge is a close second, but he had a few "tweener" moments. Same with Finlay. Booker was just constantly evil. He made people kiss his stanky feet!

"...& you can hear the fans chant my name... JBL! JBL! JBL!... Wrestling God!!" ;D John Bradshaw Layfield (Tho no longer performing in the ring) is truly one of the Greatest Heels of ALL time! Total 'Heat' magnet!

If WWE didn't feel like he wasn't as ready as he should have been, and he probably wasn't, it would have been The Great Khali. If he made fewer mistakes, it would have been believable for him to basically do anything.
Th best heel of 2006, I'm going to have to say Edge. He had a heck of a 2006, and his heat escelated to an apex during his rivalry with Mick Foley.

Bookah's been incredible playing such a silly gimmick. It's a shame they had nobody else but Batista to feud with him though.

Edge was good, but King Bookah carried Smackdown

Edge. Unlike HHH and Kurt Angle, he could actually get fans to boo him against Cena. He's been great as the unlikeable, arrogant, pyscho heel champion. King Booker and Finlay also put up great heel runs this year. But Edge spent the entire year as top heel.

I voted Booker but where's K-Fed? He's a great heel. All he has to do is stand there and the people boo him. I also feel Nitro does a good job.
