So we've had a touchdown scored against a 10-man defense, a tipped ball turned into a Pick 6, and a blocked extra point. Ugly football is ugly. All within 4 plays even(counting the kick return where nothing happened)

And in two plays this game just went from "Browns are putting up a good fight, they got a good chance" to "the blowout begins". Like I said in a WWE threat, the Ravens were going the kick the crap out of the Cleveland Browns tonight. And so far in the 2nd half, I'm right.

I was gonna say, the first half they hung with them, but the Ravens did seem to play down to them a little. Seems like the Ravens have it together. I kindof feel bad for Quinn. The stat sheet won't tell the story. Those two picks were really not all his fault. Not even Manning, Brady or Brees can do much of anything with these receivers.

FG Ravens
16-0
Did the Ravens finally realised that they are playing the Browns and with a loss, they playoffs hopes would be slim?

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on Monday Night Countdown that Joey Porter will not play on Thursday night against the Panthers.

You know, tonight might be the VERY FIRST TIME where on Monday Night pregame on ESPN, everyone picked the Ravens to win. And didn't even bother to debate.
I mean wow.
And mah gawd, what an absolutely ugly game.

God bless that kid. He's a walking miracle and the often-forgotten part of that whole tragedy. Those were the darkest days. That along with Fred Lane's murder around the same time just killed all the momentum the franchise had built up. I still remember watching the final regular season game in 2001 at home vs New England where Carolina went 1-15 (won the first game, went to hell afterwards). There couldn't have been 10,000 people there. And then that spring, the Hornets left Charlotte so it really sucked to be a Charlotte sports fan. The Bobcats still haven't reached where the Hornets once were (and I'd be surprised if they ever do) and the Panthers are steadily now building up loyal fan support again. No team should go through the Rae Carruth and Fred Lane stuff. That killed a promising fanbase dead in it's tracks and had to rebuild all over again from 2002 on.

And mah gawd, what an absolutely ugly game. Not only that, but it felt like the announcers made fun of the game more than they commentated on it. It got to the point where the Browns would have a 1 yard run and they'd yell YES OFFENSE! Hell, they talked about Basketball for a good 5 minutes and just ignored the game towards the end. For how bad that game was... it has to be fun to be an annoucer when the network is telling you "Guys, this game blows, at least do something crazy so they don't change the channel!"

In fact, 3 of the last 4 MNF sucked as the home team got dominated.

The only real embarrassing moment after 2002 was the two cheerleaders having sex in the bathroom.

Having to suffer through the legendary Chris Weinke starting a full season didn't help matters either. *shudders* But it did get us Peppers. And thank God for the Texans expansion year or we would have ended up with David Carr. ....oh yeah.
