So Dwayne Bowe just got suspended 4 games due to the NFL's substance abuse policy... Here you go Chief's fans... So that's the Chief's button... Meanwhile, the Saints and Colts have these, apparently.

Jets @ Patriots should be fun. Nothing better than a revenge game after a heartbreaking loss.
*prays for a blowout*

So Dwayne Bowe just got suspended 4 games due to the NFL's substance abuse policy... Here you go Chief's fans... So that's the Chief's button... Meanwhile, the Saints and Colts have these, apparently. Meanwhile in Chicago, Jerry Angelo and Lovie Smith keep typing their cheat code - save_us.QbJ - to no avail. I think their problem is they think that it's an automatic win code, not a power and speed boost. Think about the Cutler thing: this week he's starting to get a ton of national backlash for the interceptions. He has 14 TDs and 17 INTs, 2353 passing yds (261 ypg), 62.4 comp% (211-338), and 19 sacks for a 76.0 QB rating. The Green Bay game on opening night, the 49ers game from this week, and the Bengals blowout in week 7 account for 2 TDs, 12 INTs, 3 sacks, 835 yards, and 57.6% (72-125). In those games, as a whole, the Bears had 164 rushing yards (Matt Forte totaled 51 rushes for 120 yards). The Bears only rushed on 9 of 51 offensive plays in the CIN blowout. In the Bears other 6 games, then, Cutler has 12 TDs, 5 INTs, 16 sacks, and 64.7% (139-213). So he has turned in two absolute stinkers and one bad game exacerbated by the blowout nature of the game. The team is running its offense like the Eagles: 63% pass, 37% run (including 24 rushes for 111 yards and 1 TD by Cutler himself). So Cutler has kept the ball on over 67% of the snaps he's taken. I'm not really concerned about the picks. He is being asked by the team to win games on his own. There is no defense to speak of, no competent o-line, no running game, and a weak receiving corps that he is making look damn good compared to what Orton could do. For example, Brandon Marshall this season has 49 catches for 602 yards. Devin Hester of the Bears, meanwhile, has 48 catches for 596 yards. Five other Broncos and five other Bears have double-digit catches each. No one's saying Hester and Marshall are equal; quite the opposite. The weapons Cutler has are mediocre at best. The mantra again: don't force passes to Hester et al. that you could successfully force to Marshall et al.

The Hoodie hasn't had his judgement questioned this much since Spygate, and you all remember how badly the Pats went for blood after that, don't you?

The Silver Dome just sold at auction for $583,000. The board should have pooled our money togeather to buy it.

You're starting to say the same things about Cutler that I did about Delhomme. Almost exactly. lol There are two differences, though, that need to be mentioned: 1) Delhomme actually has legit weapons in Williams, Stewart and Smith. While Hester and Olsen are nice complementary players, Cutler is the only Bear offender (usage intended) that has a (current - Pace and Kreutz were great once) legitimate positional skill set. 2. Delhomme is a 9-year vet and has been a starter with the same coach since 2003, whereas Cutler is only in his third full season as a starter and is now in an entirely new offense compared to his first two seasons. Cutler is not some "Jeff George"-type. Cutler is mobile as hell and willing to run for a first down if it's open. Cutler looks more similar, if anything, to young Kerry Collins. You don't run draws and keeps for him, but you know he has evasiveness if he can escape initial pressure. I want growth the next few years, not perfection. I'll take 25 picks if I get 32 TDs. Let's once again have a roll call of Bears QBs this decade: Cade McNown Shane Matthews Jim Miller Danny Wuerffel Chris Chandler Henry Burris Cory Sauter Kordell Stewart Rex Grossman Chad Hutchinson Craig Krenzel Jonathan Quinn Kyle Orton Jeff Blake Brian Griese Seriously. You can do a LOT worse than a guy with a cannon who makes players around him better and puts the team in a position to win games they have no business competing in, even if his miscues and overconfidence occasionally cost you the game. He's already breaking Bears records (fastest passer to 2000 yards). Chicago has never had someone like him. And after watching Kex Ortman spend the last few years floating underthrown deepballs into cold December lakeshore gales, I'll take my chances, long term, with a kid who has the physical ability Chicago hasn't had.

I think the problem here is everyone including Bears fans were saying that the Bears were gonna be Super Bowl contenders and compete with the Vikings for that division while saying the Broncos were going to completely suck behind Kyle Orton. Funny thing is the Broncos actually have a shot at the playoffs (would still make it at this point) while the Bears, well......are about in the same vein as the Carolina Panthers at this point.
Except the Carolina Panthers can beat the Arizona Cardinals while the Bears....can't. And we had a young Kerry Collins (the actual Kerry Collins) and while he had one year of greatness, we were glad to see him leave.
Bottom line is Kyle Orton may not be a hurler, but he can win you the game while Jay Cutler may be a hurler, but he has a huge bunch of baggage on him to deal with also.

H, I was just teasing you dude. I wasn't.....I was one who said from day one the Broncos were getting the better end of the deal in this trade. And it turns out that while the Broncos have lost three straight, they are still doing better than the Bears and all the while they have those draft picks that the Bears would have no problem giving away.

H, I was just teasing you dude. Lots of people aren't teasing with the Orton/Cutler stuff right now, though. Honestly, this Bears team is 3-6, maybe 2-7 with Orton. GB - loss pit - loss seattle - loss detroit - win atlanta - loss cincy - loss cleveland - win zona - loss niners - push Without Urlacher, the defense is godawful. They have no protection or run game (63 yds/game outside of Det and Cle games, inc. Cutler's runs). Cutler is the only thing keeping this team from being a trainwreck right now. Not enough people are willing to accept that because he's a lot more fun to cheer against.

Obviously, the game that I'll see is Indianapolis @ Baltimore. Nothing bugs me more than how the fans get when the Colts go into Maryland. Yes, I know the story by heart, but in the end, the only thing that moved was the team and nickname. Everything else stayed. Too bad that I won't get to enjoy what could be Eric Mangini's final game ( ): Cleveland @ Detroit.
