I seem to recall reading that between VHS and DVD, Terminator 2 in all of its various editions had about 13 releases. And that was before Blu-Ray.

The Friday The 13th Series has had a few DVD re-releases over the years
EDIT: Biggest culprit in this has to be Disney! There's always a remastered/restored DVD of an old Disney movie coming out. It's ridiculous!

It's ridiculous! Disney's not as bad as it as it seems. They just have such a large and well-known catalog of top titles that it seems that way. During the VHS days, they only released most of the animated classics once every 7 years. I think that window's gotten a little shorter in the DVD era, but they don't flood the market with re-releases either.
