I'm using my netbook currently because my desktop crapped out on me. It won't even load up without giving me the blue screen of death. Has this happened to any other crappers and what can I do to fix it?

I used to, but not the the point it couldn't startup without doing it. I am writing this assuming you are starting from a full shutdown, and I must add I did this on XP so it might be different on Vista/7.
Try launching in Safe Mode if it's really a problem (hit F8 on startup...its sometime before the logos show up so i'd hit it a few times immediately upon hitting the power button). Things will look weird as it lowers the graphic quality and limits alot of features (such as disabling the internet), but it might block out the file causing the blue screen long enough for you to fix the problem. After this, follow this method.
Go to all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and follow the wizard.
This will allow your computer's internal system files to revert to it's settings from an earlier date. Your computer sets these points automatically unless you specifically shut off the system restore feature, which is buried deep in the Control Panel. You can also set the current point as a restore point, but this should only be done if your planning some hardware installation or the like.
Simply choose a date that isn't too far back, but enough that you know the BSOD wasn't happening then. This should fix it.
If not, it might be something you recently downloaded. Run a viruscan and make completely sure any recent downloads are on the up and up.
