It seems every time makes something so awesome..they take a HUGE step backwards. From VKM, to Eric Young searching for "Elvis" to Stone Cold Shark Boy. Angles that even they have to admit sucked. Angles that i'm sure now they are looking back and asking...what the f*** kind of crack were we smoking?
That'll put some butts in the seats.

Sure, but every promotion has things like that happen. A gamble that sounds good on paper to get someone over may result in a flop on screen. Just look at things like Bob 'Spark Plug' Holly and even Kwang.

Tenay is a SUCKHOLE, I've been saying that since I joined this forum. And now he and Russo are stuck with each other. I'd love to see Tony on TNA in Tenay's place!

I'd have to agree with you here, it was a good idea...it just shouldn't have been in the ring in the middle of the show Wait...Paul Bearer was in TNA??? more than once actually

TNA's weekly PPVs were wierd. I saw most of them from a friend, and they had no idea where they were going back then.
As an aside, I remember when Daddy Armstrong (cause I forget his first name) came out and used a "Blazing Saddles" reference "What in the wide, wide world of sports is a going on here?"
Yeah, here is the infamous return of Tony S. He later mocks Tenay and West calling them "Davey Crockett and Johnny Weaver."
Nice worked shoot, but like most of early TNA - it lead nowhere.
For example, Dusty Rhodes cut a ***** promo on Vince Russo and his infamous "a midget beating off in a trash can" speech. I think Dusty said that line like 5,000 times in the promo. At least the WWE finally hired him as a road agent for a while, because the friggin angles they booked like Nikita Koloff vs. Dusty. Not wrestling mind you, because Nikita's career was over, but they did like six shows where Nikita feuded with Dusty, but never said a word. One day he turns face again and hands Rhodes the NWA championship after facing David Flair for it. Not the actual NWA title, but what was supposed to be the old belt Flair had, or maybe it was Dusty's - who knows.
TNA used to have this Indy promotion feel where you just booked the hot angles as fast as you can before the wrestlers jumped ship. I stopped really watching after 2004.
They had something here, but they just never knew when to quit or parlay it into something that meant something.

I remember WWE admitting that the first ECW show sucked balls (not Mahoney).
And they actually sent an automated apology letter to fans who sent them e-mails regarding the low quality of D2D.
