Agreed with Mission Hill and Freakazoid. I do personally think that Jackass could have had a few more left in them. But I'm content with what we got. Couldn't disagree more. Just look at how annoying every member of that show is now. By the time Jackass ended I just wanted to see Bams dad beat him to death.

had it not been canceled by NBC, My Name is Earl definitely would of had another season or two in it. don't know how it would of turned out, especially since the series had gone steadily downhill the last 2 seasons. in some ways I kinda wanted to find out who was the father of Joy's kid, if it wasn't Crabman
Seinfeld also could of lasted another season or two but looking back they made the right decision to stop at the top instead of potentially staying on too long

I was going to say Arrested Development, but the truth is that it got canceled at just the right time. I love the show and was beyond perturbed when it happened, but you could see that it was definitely getting sillier (what with jetpacks and Wee Britain), but not enough to totally betray itself yet. Had they gone on for a fourth season, then it definitely would have been a tad too much.
Same thing happened to The Office and Scrubs, except they didn't have the luxury of getting the axe.
So I guess I'll vote for MST3K. Ten years (plus another on local television) is an extraordinary run, but MST3K's core concept just demands for it to carry on perpetually. It's the one show I feel only got better with age, continually refining itself and becoming sharper and more polished over time. Rifftrax is an amusing diversion, but it's just not the same without the characters (however thinly separated Mike, Crow, and Servo actually are from Michael, Bill, and Kevin).

AD's first two seasons are up there with all other shows in terms of quality, and while the shortened 3rd season did show a dip in quality, it was still good. They maybe could have kept the season 3-level up for one, maybe 2 more seasons, but it was obvious that they'd never achieve the greatness of the first two seasons.

Exactly. Considering all the spin off series all lasted longer than the original. And it's amazing the impact that it had even though it was a short lived series.

MST3K is a vote for me, but I also wonder what-ifs about Buffy and Angel. Buffy had a rough second-to-last season but had some interesting stuff brewing in the last season until about five episodes in when you got the "crap-we're-being-cancelled-let's-wrap-this-up" vibe. Angel I could argue that too as it ended on another cliffhanger dang it!
