Critics always love the Wes Anderson too-cool-for-school movies. Who doesn't? The movie-going American public. Yeah, because the movie going American public is spending their money on sparkly vampires and robots peeing oil all over people. The success of Michael Bay truly disheartens me. In my little hick town, the lines to get into TRANSFORMERS 2 were just about as long as the ones for TWILIGHT. Yet things like GRAN TORINO or PARANORMAL ACTIVITY get like, a week at the local theaters tops, and maybe ten people go see them. *sigh*

I usually have to drive 30 minutes out of town to find the nearest theater playing quality, yet smaller, films. It took me an hour to go to the nearest theater to see A Serious Man. But it was SO worth it.
