even though I haven't heard of most of the comics on that list, the stuff I had heard of I think is good enough to be on that list.

If you haven't read Blankets and Black Hole go and read them now. Beautiful books those two.

Do you really think the Onion AV Club is going to go for "Wolverine Meets Deadpool"?

Do you really think the Onion AV Club is going to go for "Wolverine Meets Deadpool"? No. But, I thought that they'd at least put 52 on there. At least they had All Star Superman, The New Frontier, and Bendis and Maleev's Daredevil run.

52 wasn't very good, thus why it was not on the list.
Y the Last Man, Criminal and Bone definitely deserve to be there.

Also, JLA/Avengers >>> 99% of that list. It may not have been 'literature', but it was something fans for 20 years thought would be impossible and is arguably the pinnacle of what superhero fantasy should be; superhero fantasy.

It was mediocre Superhero Fantasy. All so big ups for the Doom Patrol reppin. How is the new run? Wanna check it out because well it's DP and it has Metal Men as a backup.

It was mediocre Superhero Fantasy. It was SIMPLE and FUN. No one was being burned to cinders by their best friends on their husbands birthday while being pregnant and also having the surprise of being raped. There was good guys, there was bad guys, there was team-ups and crossovers. It has an instant place in history and entertained more people then probably all but 3 or 4 books there, meaning that its positive legacy will live on long after maybe everything on the list. When you create something that will have a lasting positive legacy, I don't see how that wouldn't qualify you as being among the best. As for DP, I don't read comics anymore. They cost too much and most stories take too long to develop at $3 or $4 a pop.
