Watching the games this season, I've come to the realization that holding penalties will be called by how the referee is feeling. I've literally seen holding by both teams happen every game, and only A FEW of them are called. Last week (forgot what game it was) there was some big holding penalty by the defense, and on the replay, you could see holding by the offense as well as the holding by the defense, but of course it wasn't called. I laughed as I saw the blatant offensive holding literally in front of the camera as the defensive holding happened 10 yards downfield.

If anyone is watching the ND/Pitt game on their TV, can someone explain to me how that incomplete pass was ruled a fumble? NCAA and NFL refs have sucked BIG time this season.
The NFL and NCAA have fined The Wraith $50,000 for comments made about referees Saturday.

Down goes Notre Dame. Meanwhile, TCU beating the breaks off of ranked 1 loss Utah's ass. If two of the three above teams loss, keeping TCU out would be a crime.

A 65-10 loss to Oklahoma. I bet some people wish Slocum was still the coach in College Station

On the NBC contract and how that means nothing, I will say this. It is not just that they are a brand name that gets them the NBC schedule.
Sure Notre Dame hasnt had a good run in lord knows how long, but here is one thing you should all know. Notre Dame has played what is considered by computers to be the #1 toughest schedule and they have for a very long time. Let's also add to the fact that Notre Dame (despite being as overrated as they have been) still get very good TV viewing audiences for their games.
Now I am only saying this in football terms, but if you ever think Notre Dame is irrelevant, than you my friend are living in a dream world where every school is treated the same. Just a reality.....not one I like, but its a reality.

Seth - Let me disarm your relevancy argument.
Say you're the #1 undisputed high school football prospect. Every school, I mean every school wants you. Big, small, west east coast, etc. Meyer and Carroll are willing to fist fight in the parking lot for your signature. You could play for any program, at your choosing.
Tell me, how high would Notre Dame rank on your list?

Top 5 or bottom 5?
Now to be fair, one thing about going to ND: You get to be on national TV almost every other week. So that's an incentive.
