Last night I went to a friends concert in downtown Austin and an old crush from high school was there, since its a mutual friend. Me and her are still good friends, but it was kind of weird...I couldn't help but have flashbacks and kind of dwell on it a little. Anyone ever run into similar situations?

Yeah, i'll remember the first time me and my first love spoke after we broke up. I don't think we even communicated with each other at all for about 6 months, then one random night...I get a phone call from her, asking me if I wanted to get something to eat with her. Talk about awkward there.
Even more awkward was the reason why she called me. Turned out she was pregnant and just lost the kid about a couple days prior. Moping around, depressed, her mom told her to call me and get out of the house for a little bit.
Probably for the better though since we're still good friends.

Most of my "crushes" became fat. Good thing.

I had an ex girlfriend contact me after something like three years of nothing. I thought the stomach would go berzerk but it didn't, which is good because that means I'm over it. It is a little strange hearing them talk about their current boyfriends though. It's not a jealousy thing, it's more of a "by the grace of god" type things. I'm not sure if I can explain it.

I talk to mine on Facebook all the time...but she didn't know I had a crush on her.
In fact, I have quite a few high school crushes on Facebook...and none of them knew!

About a year after I moved form New Jersey to California, I got a message on my answering machine from a girl I dated in high school. She said that we hadn't seen each other in ages and she wanted to chat and catch up on old times.
But since our "old times" consisted of her crushing my soul and making my life a living hell for two and a half years, I decided not to call her back.

My senior year crush ran into me in the bar one night when she was a bit underage. This happened to be the bar I was the head bouncer and manager at. She didn't know that, and I was off the clock and knew she wouldn't cause trouble, so I didn't kick her out or anything, but when I spoke to her, she got these huge deer in the headlight eyes and just kind of mumbled "hi" back and disappeared into the crowd as fast as she could.
Since then, we've talked (it was no secret that I was into her my senior year), and we're back to being friends, but I still get to laughing at that moment from time to time.

A few years back I got in touch with a girl I had a slight crush on in high school, we met up for drinks, had a *great* night, hung out a little while afterward, and then she kind of started flaking for some reason I never learned about. Weird.
Recently, though, I actually started talking again to the first girl I ever kissed, which has been pretty cool.

I always end up good friends with them in the end. A girl I was mad about in 3rd-4th year of high school is now practically a sister to me.

I mostly see mine of Myspace and Facebook, and pretty much avoid contact if I can help it. Most of them seem to have moved on to bigger and better things, and I'm still the kid who was too smart to go to college (or graduate high school, but that's another story altogether).

Still see mine quite a bit. We didn't talk for a few years after high school, but had mutual friends still, and re-connected on MySpace as a result of having the same mutual friends. After a couple days of messages, she sent me her cell number and IM name. Then we spent about 3 years being inseperable. Talked every day, heading in one direction. We went out a few times.
Then her dad died, and she acted a bit weird, next thing I know, I'm completely dropped from her life. Then, myself and a few friends decided to go out. Ran into her and some of my other friends at a bar...awkward. We barely looked at each other. But after a few months, we were talking again. She even was like, "Hit me up sometime." But I haven't yet. She met someone else and I'm gonna respect that.

The ones I never had contact with seem to get into drugs or become pregnant, while the ones I dated are some of my best friends. Maybe I'm a good influence.
