Still have to send the supplemental materials in tomorrow, but I just submitted my first graduate school application. It sucked, I was at the library all day both today, yesterday and even quite a bit on Sunday. It sucked even more that I did not procrastinate on this one. It just took that long to get EVERYTHING wrapped up. I really hope I get into one of these schools, the application process itself is just nuts.
Well, anyway six more schools to go...

Best of luck, man; I'm going through that, too, but I'm going to apply for a simpler state school first, then look into transferring later.

best of luck. it's great that you know what you want to do with your life. I was the first person in my family to get a bA degree. My mom said "more education is better, so after you graduate you will go to grad school."--- SHE DID NOT KNOW I HAD TO APPLY- SHE THOUGHT THAT IT WAS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSITION!-- thus is why i joined the airforce instead.

Thanks foir the wishes guys. Also for Polexia, I can definitly relate to family members being unfamiliar with the process. I am the only one in my immediate family to have a B.A. as well, though I believe one older cousin that I haven't talked to in about a decade also has one. Also had some German relatives (ancestors?) who went to college as well, but I think they've been dead since the 1940s or so, so not much help there

The nice thing about Grad School is that it's much easier to apply than College was. I mean, the actual coursework is like all the hard parts of college minus all the fun parts, but the application is easier, usually due to less idiots trying to get it.

Idk, maybe its just the field I'm applying to, journalism. For my first app anyways there was a ton of paperwork. I've been working on the rest as well and likewise a lot of paperwork. Although I remember my undergraduate applications were a nightmare too, more so because I procrastinated than them being actually difficult.
